Try out some mattresses first, get to know what firmness you need then I agree with Andrew, spend the maximum of your budget.

We have a Silentnight mattress which has a Which approval. Best purchase we've made...so good we don't want to get out of bed most days ;)

We got ours from a GroupOn deal and it's 'OK' but like others have said - go and test them before buying one!

If you don't mind me asking Jon, how much was it and what brand?
I'm looking for a double bed frame and a pocket sprung mattress :)

Hi,

I am looking for a new mattress too. I don’t get on with the memory foam ones as I have always had an orthopaedic mattress. Not for any back issues but just because I like them. I am looking at getting a Happy Beds orthopaedic mattress from Amazon. If anyone has one I would love to know how you are getting on with it. The one I am looking at is around £150 with free delivery and I am saving up all my Amazon vouchers that I get to pay for it. Shouldn’t take much longer :)
