I haven't invested my own money, just slowly built up the referrals. After everything is accounted for actual profit probably isn't that much, but the more referrals you have the more your potential profit grows. I'm in a position now where the referrals I have make enough in one month to allow me to rent 100 new referrals and extend them for the maximum 240 days before their first 30 days is up.
Here are my stats for 2014, nothing spectacular profit wise but I am to continue growing.
Mostly had 698 referrals all year before going up to 798 in December.
Total made in 2014 - $1866.996
Total spent on recycling - $157.59
Total from mini jobs - $226.05
Mini job bonus - $54.24
Now my spending on extensions of referrals is only an estimate as I didn't keep that info for some reason. But I generally tended to renew 100 referrals each month for 240 days which would cost $123 at my referral range. So maybe $1476 over the year, but then some months there were promotions. Oh and the $90 golden membership fee.
So in reality I probably made a few hundred dollars profit over the year but reinvested it. I want to get to 1000 referrals and see where I am from there. It is only costing me my free time after all.
These numbers are fairly accurate but have only been thrown into an excel sheet over the year, by no means neat and tidy
