I started in January too :) I only get about 300 page views a month, so I need to work out how to build that up a bit! I've just recently started doing a lot more on twitter and seem to get a few new followers a day, so fingers crossed.

This blogging thing is a massive learning curve!
I've made sure I always do one post a week on the same day. Also have yoast installed and make sure posts are at least 800 words. I've found twitter is good for engaging people but I started with nothing and it has taken me this long to edge up to 150 followers (ish) so building this has been quite painful. Definitely a slow burn but keep going!

Ok so the obvious question is - What are you doing to up the views?

Blogging isn't about being a wallflower just like it isn't about 'just writing content' -

20% Writing Content
80% Promoting the content

I dunno man, I bang em on Twitter every now and again and sometimes Pinterest if I remember, not sure what else I can do

How is your traffic doing now then a few months later?

Are you seeing an increase in Google traffic at all?

I've recently gone back to Yoast after moving over to RankMath for more of the year just to see if it offers anything different in terms of SEO. It doesn't, SEO is SEO and Yoast honestly just holds your hand so much through the whole writing process with its 'getting all the lights green' thing I feel there is little reason to use an alternative!

Not sure really, think there's a bit of an increase though, I still don't know where else I'm meant to promo aside from Twitter

Ok so you put up a new awesome post

You want to promote it on
Twitter
Facebook
Instagram

Do you have an email distribution list? If so then you want to mail it out to them

Another big hitter is push notifications. Use Onesignal. At your command, it will send a notification to peoples browsers that you have put up a new blog post and give them a direct link to it

You then want to be looking at other similar sites that you could write a guest post for and then link back to YOUR post in

Ahhh now I HATE push notifications so that's a no-no. No email list. But yeah I could put a few more bits out on Twitter/Facebook I guess

It's not about YOU liking push notifications, it's about your readers using them!

I have just had two visitors from Russia on a post I wrote about things to do in Salisbury. Should I be worried?
