By the look of it it's the same client as Appen. The crowd sourcing will presumably through UHRS. Saw on the green site that Appen are reducing the hourly so would be interested to know what Isoftstone offer.

What do Appen pay now do you know for this sort of work?

If it's UHRS Crowd sourcing it's paid piecemeal. Basically you get very simple tasks mostly paying between $0.01-$0.06, the vast majority of tasks you simply can't do fast enough to earn over $10 an hour and the ones that you can usually don't last very long. Worth having in case there is a nice HitApp.

The systems name for jobs. Each different job has its own HitApp name

When you submit a job it's known as a hit, so it's a Hit Application.

Have applied for the "crowd sourcing" type job on this, don't really want to commit to a weekly/monthly minimum hours or set hours.

Never done any of the Appen/Leapforce thing so will be interested to see what this is all about.

I have just starting doing something similar to crowd sourcing, (not with this company) I was so chuffed to finally have a little success from my online work searches.
I don't want to sound over fussy but I don't like it, I REALLY don't like it. I am not sure I can explain why on a forum due to the secrecy that surrounds it. But is it isn't the low pay.

What company is it? Don't that's against the NDA as some of them have referral programs.

Found some links for the company:

http://www.wahadventures.com/2014/02/review-isoftstone-search-engine-evaluating.html

and

http://www.glassdoor.co.uk/Reviews/iSoftStone-Reviews-E158251.htm

Looks like $12 an hour paid via PayPal and a 25 hour week (judging by the second link's comments).

Have applied though, thank you OP.

Can't really explain what I don't like without being specific - sorry if I seem awkward.
I've emailed them and who ever replied was really nice and really quick so can not fault them for that.
I am going to give it another week or two then reassess as I am not a quitter.

But yeah going to be secret squirrel and keep the name under wraps!! But I have responded to that many different opportunities I am not even sure I can keep track of who it is anyway.

If anyone one is interested in crowd sourcing then a quick google search brings up loads of different opportunities by the way.

Thank you Jon :)

I've been doing similar work to busybusy and I just would not recommend per-click crowd-sourcing work. There are some good tasks to do but those tasks take time and you're not making much money from them. I made about 60 cents in about 15 minutes from a decent task (that required user feedback and consideration of source material). I'd rather just be paid a set-rate and put in a proper shift without worrying about how many clicks I need to get through.
