I'm down on the DA but up on the PA.

Dagnammit!

How about you?
PA doesnt mean anything anymore from memory. I think we stopped rating on it years ago when I was doing web search evaluator work.

Anyway up to 40 on DA for me :)

Up on DA which isn't bad to say I've seriously been neglecting it since uni. Finally hit the 30s

I continue to be convinced that outbound links don't have a huge impact on your DA

This site, for example, has THOUSANDS of them, all going off to different websites and blogs of various stature and I don't see it impacting my DA

Follow links from link sellers have been the biggest hit. So, if you sell them and lots of them then you're more likely to have been hit and hit hard.

All the info is here about the update: https://moz.com/blog/comprehensive-...3R3vYWiYjgIbjdATg9mH7lL9Rxjyg3ton0DpHJcuqKliw

right but this forum alone has thousands of links coming out of it!

Yeah, but they're not paid follow links.

Moz are clever enough to know this so sites who just post links from SEO/PRs who want your link juice are the ones who've been hit. Some as drastically as in the 30/40/50's into single digits.

Modern Money Life is almost purely sponsored post work and that got hurt in this update whereas my actual blog didn't because it's a good balance.

Down 6pt on one site and up 3 pt on other.
Recently I managed to get a link back from site with DA62 and was very proud of it. Checked yesterday and their DA fell to 9! Massive drop.
As @Chammy mentioned above sites that just act as “content mills” for paid content are now being penalised which might be why their DA has dropped so dramatically!

True. However, they were penalised by google and some time back. As I understand, MOZ simply changed the way they calculate DA to reflect more accurate figures. So, this change by MOZ shouldn't be affecting webpage rankings in search results.
