New owner?

The last member to join in July is “RhiTMS” and she’s an Admin, is she the new owner? Someone else that has never posted here, but I checked TMS Blog and she regularly posts on there?

I’ve spent the last hour considering making a new forum. I think I could re-create this forum and make it better, just not sure how I would attract new members in 2024.

I'm still giving it some thought. I don't really want to do a blog though and I'm guessing that's where they make the most money from this site. And there's not many new money making ideas coming through this forum anymore, maybe it's a non-starter?

I think that is the problem, there isn't that much side hustle stuff going on at the moment. I haven't heard of anything new lately.

The way things are going in the UK economy everyone seems to have a side hustle these days. Nobody's job is secure and prices in the shops are only going one way - up.
So yes I think a money saving / side hustle themed site could have a lot of potential.

Making money and marketing it may be a challenge.

Monetization options include ads, premium paid for forum sections, donations, and sponsorship. If you developed a significantly large mailing list you may be able to monetize that as well.


Marketing these days requires an active presence on various social media sites.

I'd join a forum like that, so let us know if you plan to take things further.

It's awful there's still some moderation around, and I've just popped back on after an absecnce and made my way through reports and such and trying to remove the spam and crap.

The website looks like it's updated (which I didn't even realise this had a website and wasn't just the forum) but it's out of date with many lockdown/coronavirus links to offers from that period.

Not really sure respectfully why it was purchased if the owner wasn't going to try and do something with it. There's barely any discussion or activty often enough at the minute to make it an attractive place in my view for someone to want to visit

I don’t get it. Maybe they’re still making decent money from it without any effort.

Also if RhiTMS is still the last new member, that must mean they’re not approving new members and haven’t been since July at least.

I meant that I think there probably are new members, but they’re not being approved. It’s just stupid to buy the forum and then leave it to die.

I wonder if the original owner would be interested in taking it over. Alternatively, there is an opportunity for someone to build a new and thriving discussion forum.

Just doesn’t seem like there’s any discussion to be had though? Nobody seems to know of any new decent online money making opportunities. Nobody posts about them on here anyway.

There are lots of new opportunities, and they are just not being talked about here. For example, the guy from the Paid From Surveys site does not have much trouble finding and writing about money-making opportunities. I think AI also offers business opportunities. And it may not be too late to get into crypto. These are just 3 examples off the top of my head.

Hi @RSK

Thanks for thinking of me but I'm just launching a new site at the moment around being self employed (including a fourm lol) so can't really take on anything else at the moment
