Yep every year I make and break them but not next year, 2015 is MY year!

1) Lose weight...I will be kicking weight in it's fat face at the start of the year. A solid 7 weeks of pure determination before a week off (also my Auntie's 50th so we are having a party and I am baking her cake so I need the break ;) ) Then back on it again haha
2) Make a blog last more than 6 months, more specifically make Cash Free Christmas last until Christmas....and beyond!
3) Keep my work head on during work-hours and not drift off into a WoW-fuelled, forum-filled, Facebook-wasting procrastination session!

Anyone else?

Love that you're thinking about NYRs already!

I lost 1.5 stone with Slimming World (I'd definitely recommend it) but leading up to Christmas I have caved in to the numerous office choccie temptations, and a few pounds have crept back on! So for me it will be all about the weight loss in Jan also. Good luck with yours!

Another one for fitness! I'm not overweight as such, but would love to tone up enough to not go up another size (have already gone up a size this year but am blaming it on age!).

Get some savings in order, we have had an uncertain 2014 financially and spent the small ISA we had tucked away.

Well 2015 is a big year for me as we're getting married :D :D :D :D

I have a few things I want to do. A lot of it revolves around From Aldi To Harrods, and I've set a ton of blogging goals to do with that. I would like to lose some weight, but it just isn't a priority right now, unfortunately.

It is an expensive year too, so I suppose not getting into debt would be a great resolution.

Most of all, I am hoping that I learn to manage my time better.

1 - Don't buy more than one diary this year (I always buy 3 but only ever use one)..
2 - Complete my Nutrition and Health final unit...(may even get that done before January)
3 - Hopefully become Barney's owner.
4 - Go on a holiday or break - not done this in years
5 - Eat more healthily
6 - Devise a new budget and stick to it...
7 - Do the WSET level 1 wine awareness course (looks good on the CV for future housekeeping jobs)

Hiya Queen...

WSET Level 1 is a one day course where you taste wine, learn about it and the right foods to serve it with. You have to do a little test and get 70% of answers right to pass then you get a certificate and a lapel pin! I would find this genuinely interesting though it's not cheap for a one day course (around £120)....so really a bit like wine tasting and getting qualified! :)

Ohhhhh I like this topic. Every New Year I am super motivated and it soon tails off and I think I'll restart next year. My goals for 2015....

1) Find some more time for 'me' time! I've had the most stressful, busy, uptight few years of my life. Last year I studied for 2 diplomas which nearly broke me. This year I bought a flat, undertook a big refurb and set up a new business. I haven't felt myself all year and can't remember the last time I took a breather and wasn't worrying about all of the millions of things on my 'to do' list. In fact I had my first bubble bath of the year 2 nights a go and plan to have another one this evening. That sounds a little wrong! I have showered and washed this year but haven't had the time to relax and soak. I'm always in a mad rush. In fact I've completly 'forgotten' how to sit, relax and watch something on tv without thinking about what other jobs need doing.

2) Pay off the remaining £4161.62 that I owe. I'm a nightmare when it comes to things that I want. I've always been pretty good at saving but over the last few years I've gone a bit AWOL and if I think of something I want, then theres no stopping me. I want to try and curve my spending habits a little. Pay back what I owe and start to live without worrying about money all of the time. My own fault.

3) Continue to make an online income but not drive myself mad doing it. Release that its ok to have a night off without thinking what I could be earning. I'm going to stick to Edig and Leapforce and everything else will go. I've terminated alot of my survey accounts and found that my time has freed up quite a bit. From now on I will concerntrate on the things that pay well and set myself some limits for how long I spend on my laptop.

4) Experience new places and things. I would like to book a few long weekends and see a few more countries. Looking at Croatia and Malta this year. I love travelling. I also like to add to my lists of experiences. Next on the agenda... rock climbing!

5) Finally, like most so far, a bit more healthy eating and a little less processco. I'm generally pretty good at eating clean but its all gone a bit wrong this last month or so and I feel very sluggish for it. So more greens, more water, multivitamins and a tad more exercise.

Happy New Year All!

Great topic. Starting to think of the New Year and what I want to achieve.
1. Keep on with my profitable sites sticking with those that work best for me.
2. Make sure I get some more 'me' time so using my time more efficiently.
3. Get started on my health business.
4. Get a tablet computer.

Resolutions eh..

hmm

I'd like to get The Money Shed featured in 'print' media somehow next year

I would like to cut down on how much 'work' I do from home and instead up my passive income that I earn through this site.

Oh and i'd like to get a new (but second hand) car.

It's that time of year again where I start thinking about what I'm going to do different/better next year. I've found last years thread and realised, as per usual, I failed on every aspect I listed ::) You can check it out here http://www.themoneyshed.co.uk/index.php?topic=2224.msg21071#msg21071 and for those who were around last year, you can see how well you did ;)

Next year:

1) Yup, weight-loss and fitness improvement (again). My sister gets married in August and my first dress appointment is March so I need to crack on. Once I've lost a little I might start looking at the gym - for fitness and socialising.
2) Expand my group of friends. After another shitty turn out for my birthday I really need to rethink my social circle.
3) Clear debts - this is my biggest goal for the first half of the year (I know it should be at number 1 haha). I hope to ramp up my matched betting and clear them all in March.
4) Blog: Try and get my post count up to 3-5 a week rather than the 1-2 a fortnight. Get ChammyIRL to a year and beyond
5) Younique: I plan to have a team of at least 5 by the end of the year and maybe help them achieve their own teams(one has started). Attend more stalls and generally start looking at it as an earning rather than a hobby - while remaining unspammy.

I will probably have more but for now that's it. What are your's for next year? How did you do this year?

Great goals :) hope you manage to achieve them :)

Mine is simply to be organised :) my OH is setting me up a desk so i can have all my crap as he calls it in one place lol.
My 3 year old is in nursery and all the other mums seem to be so organised so thats my motivation. Ive got a diary and started putting bits that i would usually forget in there. Also to get the house decluttered. <<< at the moments its organised chaos ;D x

Ah, I see mine last year was to get some savings ... not managed it yet so carrying that one forward ;D

Husband has been laid off, so if he could get a decent paid part time job then it would make it all easier.

I have three main ones:

1) Keep our new house (when we get in it) tidy and organised - I don't want to live in chaos anymore!

2) Do more arts/crafts and outdoor activities with my children... My oldest has had far too much screen time lately while I sort out everything to do with the house/Christmas

3) Earn around £200 a month, and increase that amount over the course of the year.

Last year my resolution was to be happier, and I have been. I've let things bother me considerably less and I don't think I've cried more than a few times all year, and that was because of serious things (loved one passing away, baby things etc).

Next year's resolutions:

1. Stay debt free
2. Give my lovely husband a surprise £5,000 (this will be near the end of the year as I have something in mind)
3. Have an amazing year with my husband and daughter, put us first and avoid letting family cause so much of a headache with their drama
4. Blog at least 8 times every month, even once the baby is here
5. Make at least £10,000 once back to work from maternity leave

I think that's it, I may add more. Thanks for the thread and good luck to everyone.
