Hi
I just need some easy and fast ways to make some cash. I was working as a temp administrator just before the lockdowns. My agencies said there's a tiny bit of temp work here and there but I've got nothing so far.

I want to work from home anyway. I've watched numerous Youtube videos and read articles on making money at home. Most are scammy or the same recycled lists from last year. Most are not suitable for someone wanting to stay home during these lockdowns.

I am getting some benefits (universal credit) but I am desperate to get off benefits and earn some money.

Things I have tried which earned me zero to a few pounds:

1. Swagbucks
2. Panelbase surveys
3. Focus groups (made £70 within a year)
4. Carboot sale (before the lockdown)
5. Selling games, dvds and unused exercise equipment by placing a local ad in my library and selling face to face.
6. Signed up to a couple sites to get mystery shopping jobs

Please suggest some easy things I can start immediately, with no investment that pays fast.

Thank you

Most of my money currently comes from three sources:

Appen, Neevo and Prolific

Others that I occasionally get some money from are - clickworker and intellizoom

I get small amounts from survey and cashback sites like swapbucks yougov, populous, shoppix etc but this stuff is not going to amount to much.

None of these ways involve money investment but unfortunately, most involve waiting, sometimes a lot of waiting and other times less waiting.

Other sources that I either don't do or am waiting on include - Lionbridge, Crispthinking and Utest.

Hi

lots of idea here

however if you are after work that pays our straight away then I would look at smartphone task apps like roamler, bemyeye and of course matched betting is an obvious one that will bring you in a huge amount of money without any major effort

as @Sherliarty mentioned something like Lionbridge social media rating work would also be good as that’s an easy £3600 a year for about 10minutes work a day

@rich110991 might have some more ideas as they’ve been down this road before

Think about doing an inventory of all your skills, or skills you can acquire pretty quickly. Go onto sites like People Per Hour, Fiver and Upwork. See what skills/services people are offering - article writing, transcription services and virtual PA work for example. You can sell your skills on sites like People Per Hour and Fiver. Also read the monthly challenges here on the Money Shed. It shows you the various ways people are making money.

Thank you for the tips and suggestions. I have decided to sign up for Qmee and Prolific. I'm reading up on Lionbridge now.

What focus group sites are decent today, I signed up to a new one takepartinresearch.co.uk/ and have been accepted to zero projects after months of being a member.

Thanks for any replies

Due to social distancing, you will probably find you get on better with something like Respondent where the studies are all done from home.

Thank you for replying so fast.
EDITED

I've watched a couple reviews on these sites and they've got great reviews/feedback.
So I've got 3 sites to sign up for today, Qmee, Prolific and Respondent.

If you're into sites like PopulusLive, then you should try Testable Minds. it's very similar to Prolific and the studies are quite interesting.

Thank you. I will look at this site too.

Better to have a few sites cause the focus groups I was signed up to are making me zero pounds right now. The survey site I was using (Panelbase) is getting annoying with too many rejections.

Yeha I'm member of Panelbase. They pay very well but if you are with a few sites there will be a turn down due to having already done survey sometimes with Ip detection. Also surveys can be quite long sometimes.

With Panelbase, I am just getting a lot of rejections even on the short surveys. I was making an easy £10 every fortnight to 1 month. Now I cannot get to £10. I have given up.

Can anyone please tell me, have you set up a new bank account to receive money from MB or surveys etc.... Or is it ok to use my current bank account.

Also have you set up a new email address for this. I have one email address I use for competitions, surveys, signing up for webinars and online courses etc.
Then I have a second email address I use for jobs, Amazon, online grocery shopping and personal stuff.

Should i set up another email address to link to my paypal account (which I do not have yet)?

I use my personal HSBC account for ALL my online income so that it's away from my bills and what not so I can't see a problem with you doing that

I've never set up a separate email address for signing up to 'online earning' things but I know that some folk do

For Paypal I would just use your personal email address, no need to make it complicated

Testable minds "studies" are very much like prolific but I only get around 1 study a day if I'm lucky and it's almost always full. Of course it really depends on your demographics as to how many studies get thrown in your direction. Cool thing with these 2 sites is, you will not get screened out 99% of the time.
