Hey!

I started my journey to making money online at the end of May 2018 and have earned roughly £50 so far through survey websites. I have tried and tested many but have whittled it down to a few favourites of mine:
- Prolific
- Branded Surveys
- Youguv
- Qmee app surveys

I stumbled upon this website and have seen many different ways to making money online so I hope I am in good hands here, I hope to also make friends with like minded people too!

Just a quick background:

I have decided to leave my accountancy career (last day 3rd August!) due to not being very happy with it at all as it takes most of my time and energy (very boring career). I have a lot of money saved, so I can easily afford this and I am at the beginning of starting a couple of my own blogs in the hope I can monetise them in the future. I aim to make £500 a month to keep me supported throughout my journey and will welcome any advice that i may need.

As I said before I have been making money so far with survey websites and want to expand my income flows while I work on my blogs. I am very interested in matched betting and will try it out in the next month when I have the time. Also I am quite interested in doing some mystery shopping as well so please help me decide the best websites/apps to do these. Judging from this website the only thing I feel uncomfortable with is the app based tasks that require you to take photo's while in stores of products etc. But i could be swayed if the payout is good.

Sorry for long introduction, but thanks for having me!

Evan

Welcome, it is a very exciting world. Don't worry about the app based tasks, they get easier, pick ones that you are comfortable with first and then move on from there. Didn't want to read and run!

Welcome to the forum, there's loads of help and support here. Surveys are a great place to start, I see you've already found one of the higher paying ones - Prolific :)

I'm scared off by mystery shopping but love the task based phone apps when they become available and matched betting is definitley something worth looking into!

Good luck :D

£50 in a month and a half says to me it’s time to dump the surveys and do higher paying work!
So we are talking
Web search evaluator work
Matched betting
Smartphone task apps (you WILL make thousands from it!)
Blogging
Whatusersdo / utest

That should see you through £800-£1000+ a month without any trouble :)

Thanks mate, I actually enjoy Prolific but i am always at work when the studies seem to show up so by leaving my job I should make just a little extra from it. I have heard so many success stories on matched betting so this is a no brainer to me, just need to do actually do it now!

Thanks for the comment

Yes I understand that £50 in a month and a half is not ideal but I needed to start with the easiest. I reckon once I start earning through over ways I will ditch surveys all together, Prolific will probably remain though as I do enjoy most of the studies on there.

Thanks for the suggestions Jon and thanks for the personal message also. I have already checked out the totallyblogging website you linked me too also, so I am very grateful for your help there. I actually think i have come to the right place already.:)

Aye, everyone always feels nervous the first time they do task app work but the reality is that they pay much more for a heck of a lot less compared to traditional mystery shopping!

Can anyone advise on the smart apps tasks people are talking about. How do I get started?

Thanks

I just got vypr and streetbees, and although they can be slow earners, it's super easy!
