How do you keep going when everything you do or try gets slammed back in your face? And that's when you find those things at all.

My stress levels regarding money are so high, my mum isn't well so been looking after her along with my dad, one of my dogs had to have his eye removed and now has life long eye drops in his remaining one, he's back and forth to the specialist eye vet which is very costly, my other dog has had troubles walking again x-rays and vet trips, I've been looking for ways to make real money online and not just pence, I got on with the ad rating at Lionbridge but after having no emails letting me know of issues they've let me go and I really needed that money for shopping weekly, and I've just been diagnosed with Diabetes so my whole diet has had a flip and there's more I can't eat that what I can, my blood pressure is high and the doctors tell me to lower my stress, but how can I do that with so many money worries and feeling like a total failure to my family. I just don't have a clue what to do.

Take a step back

Sometimes when you are in a the heat of a situation it can he extremely hard to see the wood through the trees

In regards to money - What things have you been apply for which are 'earning a decent amount' compared to pennies you mentioned.

You are right in what you said about how can you concentrate on a new diet alongside money worries, alongside a pandemic etc.. At the moment for most of us it's just about getting by. I would be gobsmacked if anyone is flourishing in the current situation so just try and tackle one thing at a time instead of everything at once or else you will set yourself up to fail as it will become too overwhelming

I am really sorry you are going through this @Angel81, it sounds tough and no wonder you are stressed. You have a lot on your plate right now with caring for your mum, pets and health. Are you eligible for any benefits to help on the money front?

There are a lot of ups and downs when it comes to making money online, and nothing is guaranteed. There can be a lot of waiting and even when you get something, it may not last as long as you would like. You are not alone, we have all faced these setbacks. Please don't feel like a failure.

Thank you for your kind reply.

Well I put a ticket into lionbridge and they said they can't reinstate me, could I apply for that again? I'm devastated as I really needed that and the money right now.

I've been doing Neevo but don't earn much on there, I'm on one text chat platform but earning money there is hard going, I do surveys but again they don't bring in enough, I've done an Istone voice job.

You are right and I can't see out of the trees right now everything is just dumping on top of me and the money worries are the worse and not helping all the other stresses either. I just wish I could sort that and then the rest might be a little more easier to cope with.

Thank you for your kind reply as well.

My partner works, not much above min wage and they take that into account so say we should be fine but we're not, his barely covers the bills, my Lionbridge money was paying for the shopping each week now I don't have that, we have debts that aren't getting any smaller and the doggies eye specialist treatment and trips, the taxi down there alone is 200 and then it's 200 just to see the eye vet before any treatment and drops, and he has to again next month. I was going to save some of my Lionbridge money to pay for some of that, now I can't.

I know you're right about making money from home, it's just so hard and I've been trying for so long and not in any better position. I feel like a total failure to my family, not being able to get anything like a full time wage, I'd need at least 1,200 and that seems closed off to me big time.

Thank you again.

I'm sorry to read about your situation @Angel81, and firstly you are most definitely NOT a failure! These things happen to us all and I really hope things improve for you soon.

In terms of food support, are you eligible for your local food bank?

That's a shame about Lionbridge, if they've definitely booted you off, have you tried applying for Appen instead?
Also as you're already doing the adult chat, a member posted a review of several of these sites the other day which might be a useful read, if you decided to apply for a couple of the others, you might be able to earn more on those.

I'm not there (yet!) But there's members on here making £1000 upwards a month from various things so it's definitely possible! Don't give up :)

Hi @Angel81

Sorry to hear that you are going through such a difficult time. It sounds like all the brown stuff has hit you at once. You will get through it though. Thank you for taking such good care of your dogs. You are a very kind person.

Reading what you have written it sounds like you need a bit of financial stability first so that you can get a break and then tackle everything else. I have no magic wand for you I’m afraid but if I may suggest a few things that have worked for me it may help you get a different angle on your situation.

Firstly you need neutral and professional advice. My first port of call is always Citizens Advice. They have lots of people there who cover a range of life situations so you could hopefully talk to several people about different things. Perhaps start with benefits.

Do not get any advice from the Benefits Office. They do not have your best interests at heart. If you and your partner could get Universal Credit and Housing Benefit it would give you the break you need. You mentioned that your partner works. I know this sounds counter intuitive but if it were possible to work less hours to gain some benefits it might be worth considering. Sounds silly I know but run it passed an adviser. You can work and be on UC but the benefits people do not have a clue as to how to work this out properly I know as I have tried talking with them about this and they are just idiots drafted in because of Covid not properly trained and stupid too.

There are other benefits for people on low incomes who work and as it is only your partner who has conventional work, don’t mention your online stuff it only confuses people, you may qualify for some of them. Again ask at Citizens Advice.

If you manage to get UC or low income benefits or housing benefit this would give you access to the PSDA for your dogs. You are only able to register one pet with them but they can help or advice about more than one animal. My cat gets her three monthly flea and worming treatment at Vets for Pets so I pay for that but as I am on UC I have been able to register her with the PDSA should anything serious occur. The PDSA is not open for general pet stuff at the moment but you can always phone them.

Another thing that you have mentioned is looking after your Mum and Dad. Have you considered being a Carer for them officially? I don’t know how this is done but there is Carers Allowance. More questions for Citizens Advice or perhaps your local council.

One more thing, if your health is deteriorating, you mentioned a diagnosis of diabetes, this may qualify you as disabled throw in blood pressure, stress and the magical word anxiety you may get a sick note and more benefits.

I don’t know if any of this will be what you need but give it a go and don’t take no for an answer or let any dole office idiot fob you off because they don’t know what they are doing. Stand your ground and politely and firmly ask for a written breakdown of how they work out your entitlements.

I hope some of this will help, think a little out of the box and always smile :D

Wishing you all the best.

My advice would be to get your debts paid off as soon as possible...seek advice from Citizens Advice. Then try and build up a savings pot to then use to invest in cryptocurrency as this is the best way to make an easy few pounds at the moment I would say to supplement any income. Do your research though, (watch various you tubers) when it comes to investing as some crypto is not worth looking at, but stick to Bitcoin or Ethereum I would say. It is a highly volitile market at the moment, so you need to keep an eye on when to buy when it is low, and sell when it is high. I am using Mode, Zumo , and Ziglu brokers at the moment as these are one's I signed up to using people's referral links and they seem fine. I am also with Coinbase, and will probably look to consolidate all my trading with them eventually....watch out for scams.

In order to make easy money, you need to have some money to invest first. Use the various free sign ups to get started. If you can save £100 then that should get you on your way.

Thank you as well for your very kind reply.

My dogs are everything to me, they make me smile daily and I'd do anything for them, I go without basics to get my dog the medication he needs or he will go blind, next month he will be going back again to the eye specialist and the other needs hydrotherapy for his legs and the supplements he's on daily now as well for his joints. They shouldn't suffer just because I can't seem to get myself together to earn a full time wage.

If I had some financial stability then I could tackle the loads piling on top of me without worrying about not eating and paying bills or paying for our medication now as well.

I will look into the benefits again thank you, I tried to look into it last year but the amount was so low because my partner works even though even with his wage it barely covers the bills let alone anything else.

Thank you again, smiling is hard these days but I shall try.

Thank you for that information. I hope that you're doing really well with it all. It is something that I would be interested in when I have any money to put to investing and I will watch some YouTube videos, as well as I know nothing about investing etc, thank you.

I don't think so. Just avoid doing the same project for both.
Also apply for crisp thinking and prolific if you have not already.

Hi Angel81,

Sorry to hear how hard it is at the moment, as people have said before me just take it one step at a time. Remember that everytime you have faced something like this in the past you have made it through, we always find a way!

As for the money side of things the fasted online money i have found is matched betting. Nothing comes close to how much you can make off the bat and then it slows down as you exhaust the sign up offers etc. Have you done this?

I hope things are improving!

I've found meditation, consistent exercise, cold showers to be a godsend in keeping me grounded and stress free. I recommend everyone to try that combo Will change your life.
