Hi, I'm wondering if anyone is in the same boat. When I started matched betting (and finally got the hang of it), I already had most of the accounts advertising start up offers from previous attempts. I have very quickly got to the point where I am earning between £1 and £4 per reload offer. Is this normal? I probably do about 4 offers a week, including the Sky Bet club one every week. I am going to start the Coral club one this week. Any advice would be welcome. The way its going at the moment, I'm not sure if my OddsMonkey £17.99 is worth it. Dont know if anyone could suggest any alternatives? Also does anyone know if there is a free oddmatcher calculator on line at all? Thanks

There’s around £150-£200 a week MINIMUM of reload offers listed each week on Matched betting company website reload pages so there is lots of money to be made

Can you be a bit more clear on which 4 offers you are doing a week.

What about horse refund offerrs
What about horse extra place offers
What about Acca offers
What about 2up offers
Etc.

To be honest I do the simple ones, although I have done ACCA offers when they come about. Also, I don't really understand some of the horse raising things, eg extra places and 2 up. Also find that on Odds Monkey, a lot of offers tend to be listed as potential profit. Guess I need to swot up on my knowledge and maybe risk some potential profit ones.

I am getting to be the same. I need to look at Accas. I am also paying commission on Smarkets even though I always place at least one bet at the beginning of the month through the PA site. That means it is often upwards of 50p ql on each £10 bet.

I have also found the QL loses to be high when going for 2 ups as there is no guarantee.

Do you not just plough through the new reload offers that appear each day on PA/OM?

Is your bankroll not big enough and that’s what’s stopping you perhaps? Or is it some kind of mental block about certain types of offers?

I do the reloads that I can - Sky, PP. Quinnbet and Unibet I have been gubbed by Coral and Ladbrokes.. I am unsure about ACCAS so I do need to check there. Do you have to change the bet if one goes down or have I got that wrong?

There are some new offers I will take up but some reloads are 10 x £10 bets for a free £10 bet. If there are a few that are hard to get good QLs on I would be doing it for pennies - well £1 to £1.50

I increase the bankroll when it goes down and that is not a thing that would hold me back. I don't leave thousands in there but can have more in in a matter of minutes.

I think I have only ever had 2 2ups come in and have not sorted out each ways yet.

There are more accounts I can open but I am worried about having dozens open.

Do all the sign ups!

Check your inboxes regularly especially 2-4 hours before a big evenings footy or a big race meet etc.

This thread giving me a bit of inspiration as I've made a couple of stupid losses betting and need to put more effort in and keep my discipline!!

edit: Oh and for accas usually you want to "lay sequential" - this means you pick events which aren't concurrent so you can lay the first match and if that wins (your lay bet loses) you then lay the next match. If your first match loses (lay bet wins) you dont need to do any additional laying.

Just make sure you remember to check if you need to lay a next bet, sometimes i do a reminder on my phone

This is a big danger in MB that isn't talked about often. Betting during MB can be an easy way to lose your money. The next step is not laying 'sure bets' and before you know it, you are Mugging all bets and losses a plenty it.

I hope you are able to get back on track easily.

:)

Thanks,

The Reverend

Thanks for your kind message! It certainly is a danger; I think it's one not discussed much as people can feel a bit embarrassed about doing it - I certainly do!!

Really tempting to chase losses too but have to rememeber that's not the game plan and you just have to leave it in the past and make the money back through matched betting rather than trying for a quick and lazy gamble to claw back losses.

It's very telling that even knowing what we all know about the little tricks they use to try and hook you in that we still fall for them sometimes - for example I wasted money on slots when idly checking if my free spins were available yet (as I said it's a lack of discipline!!).

If you were ever wondering why your free spins take 24 hours to get to you it's not computer gremlins - it's a deliberate ploy to make you log in to the casino sight a few times to check if they're there yet and then they can tempt you with a few spins!

If you want to make money long term with Matched Betting you need to be open to trying and doing new things on a regular basis. It's no good just doing standard £10 for £10 offers you need to jump on price boosts and other oddball quirks!

The more you do it the more things like horse refunds will become normal. Accas used to confuse the hell out of me before we got the likes of Acca Catcher and now it's an easy £200 tax free part of my matched betting income each month

Plod on, open your mind to doing new things and the money will come in.

It's all there, it just needs you to do the stuff that actually brings in the money from the offers!

I've been doing this for a year and being lazy have still got a fair few sign ups to do. What I would suggest is the no risk casino or the low risk casino reloads. Specifically free spins offers even if they do come with wagering requirements because it's often easy money that you could be missing out on. The low risk in my mind are the wager £5 for fs, wager £10 for fs and the wager £20 for fs. Paddy Power and betfair have a lot of these offers and they can be incredibly lucrative, if you're lucky it's an easy £5 or £100 or more. There are also free spins ladders on PP and BF but I'd advise only doing the first rung or 2 as these can be profit killers UNLESS you're doing well on the first couple of tiers. William Hills games offers come with horrendous wagering but I've made good money off those, their Macau offers tend to have no wagering on the fs winnings. I even managed to win a very small jackpot on Macau, so they're worth doing!

Also worth looking at are the casino and bingo sign ups that tend to come with fairly low wagering requirements in exchange for free spins or a bonus and obviously bingo tickets for the bingo sign ups. I made over £160 off one bingo sign up and there are frequent reloads. Heart Bingo comes with a daily free game which is worth doing.

In relation to sports offers, Ladbrokes do the acca for free spins offer on footie, which can be good value. Paddy and Bet365 do 2up which if you hit it can be incredibly lucrative. Plus bet365 dish out bet credits if you bet with them regularly, and also do the bet and get on big sporting events. William Hill are doing the Golden Goal offer regularly which is an easy £30 odd if you back the correct team. This offer is +EV even if you don't hit it every week. For 2ups you don't need to do massive stakes if you're not comfortable with doing so.

Due to the international break most of my profit has come from slots offers. I do find slots boring but profit is profit! Hope this is helpful.

Good shout on the bingo/games sign up offers. I did jackpot joy recently and through the free spins/bingo cards and a weekly draw i was entered into (which takes hardly any more spins than the requirements of the sign up offer anyway) I managed to turn £10 into £32.85.

Happy days!

My issue is that I am often out on Saturdays at the match so cant lay anything.

If the first bet loses haven't you lost out anyway as the acca is down?

If the bet you made as part of the acca wins you keep going - if your lay bet wins you can stop!

You should still be able to lay the bets even if you go to the match - even if you've got one leg at 15:00 and the next one at 19:30 same day you have still got about 2.5 hours from the first result to lay the result of the next match if you need to. Sometimes OM suggest matches which are too close together for comfort for me so I turn them down - for example leg 1 starts at 12pm and leg 2 starts at 3pm - this gives you only an hour before the 2nd leg starts to put your lay bet on so if you're not quick you could miss it.

Give yourself 24 hours between legs first time you do it to get used to it.

The danger of missing it is you can lose your first lay bet and then you're out of pocket!

Thanks all. I did the Betway virtual bet offer where you get £5 free bet (and treat your initial bet as advantage play) and actually made £25 cause I won my virtual bet and my free bet, didn't lay it, chose odds of 4.0, just got lucky but I know its a one off. I am also revisiting low risk casino offers, made some money from the Sky Vegas wager £16 and get 16 free spins one the other day. Thanks for all your tips. Good luck to everyone.

I think leaving 24 hours between is best. As we go out after the match I know I would forget to check if I was in the pub - plus I don't want to keep interrupting the night out.

I would definitely recommend doing the sign ups with Heart Bingo/Jackpot Joy/Monopoly Casino/Starspins/Virgin Games

Even if you don't make anything from the initial £10 deposits they often do reload offers where they match your deposit & the bonus only has 1 x wagering requirement.

Yesterday JJ emailed me to open a box, I won 60p.
Then i was offered another box to open if i deposit £10 with NO wagering. Won £10!!
