Oddsmonkey or Profit Accumulator?

Hello

I have signed up to Oddsmonkey and am coming to end of the 30 day period in which I can cancel for a full refund.

Just wondering if anyone thinks either is better than the other, I doubt it would be necessary to pay for both as I presume offer similar services.

Also to consider I've pretty much done all of the sign up bonus offers so starting to slow down / become a bit more challenging. Is Profit Accumulator better for ongoing offers?

Thanks

Chris.

Both offer much the same but both lots of content are hidden behind a paywall

I would imagine they both feature the same reload offers etc

This was discussed recently on this thread http://www.themoneyshed.co.uk/index.php?topic=5338 (a lot of pages, but go backwards from the end a few pages and you can see the discussion). This may also be the best place to ask your question.

Personally I think OM has better tools (excluding Match Catcher, but that's a standalone subscription anyway), but PA is slightly better in the community and speed at getting new offers up, HOWEVER, I have noticed more of the big community members from PA starting to show up over at OM and the community does seem to be getting better.

That is good to know that OddMonkey is worth it and is improving Forum wise.
Going to give it a try myself at least for a month and see how I get on.

[member=4271]Chrishogguk[/member] It's definitely worth trying both - for a free trial and then for a paid month, so you get access to the full range of software and you can see what fits you the best.

I've used both. Obviously PA has a much bigger forum presence, but in terms of finding someone to help you if you're having a problem then there's no difference across the sites for me - tag a mod and you get an answer. You see some prominent members on both sites who seem to add a lot to their respective forum and offer good help/tips/advice. Forum presence is a strange one though, isn't it, because really what does it even mean? That there are more people there to comment "made £20 from this", "Refund for me", "I used the Top Cat slot", "Good match on the away team in x game with Smarkets" and asking how to do offers - it's all about how much useful information you think you can gauge from having more members on a site. It is nice to see whether a slot offer is worth doing judging on how much people have won/lost on average but then again I think that people who make money are more likely to post so that might be a bit skewed. I feel like I've been doing MB long enough to have a good sense of if an offer is right for me/worth it and what slot to use for what kind of offer. If you need guidance on that sort of stuff then PA has the edge. OM is catching up, though. PA's mug thread can be useful but then I think "Oh and suddenly 2000 people put the exact same bet on within 30 minutes so maybe I'll avoid it actually." I am a fan of the 'Make £x per day" thread on PA.

I used to have an issue with the PA oddsmatcher and found that the OM one performs better, however nowadays I don't use an oddsmatcher at all, I'd rather find my own for football and then if I'm doing any horses then I use the racing matcher or each-way matcher. The price per month is better for OM (and you get a lot more software which performs well) but there's no acca software (personally I wouldn't use it anyway as it seems like gub city unless you're very careful with keeping your accounts in order) but then the price per year is the same. I've read some say that the PA Match Catcher is a better piece of software, and from what I remember of the free trial of it that I was given, yeah it is pretty good and worth it if horses is your thing however- that being said, if I'm paying £10 a month for a piece of software on top of the normal subscription fee, which is more than OM to begin with, then damn right it had better be better than OM's equivalent (which is inclusive in the monthly subscription fee). You hopefully get what you pay for! If you do a decent volume of horses then it's probably worth paying extra for, but the refund offers aren't my bag.

I personally think that now there is more competition in the MB services market (including the free sites) it's causing companies such as PA and OM to up their game. I wouldn't be surprised if by this time next year there is a new major contender vying for the PA/OM customer base. I think it's pretty good that a bit of healthy competition is pushing the other to be a better site. A lovely aspect of both sites is the 'no strings' ability to jump back and forth. You do PA for 6 months and become sick of it? Cancel it and jump ship. Decide OM is not for you and actually PA is better suited to how you MB? Cancel it and pick up where you left off with PA. It's nice to be able to do that!

Sorry, I ended up writing a lot more than I intended!

TLDR; Both have their advantages and disadvantages. It comes down to personal preferences. It's easy to try both, so try both! You'll find what fits you best ;D

I tried PA and wasn't sure so I'm now on OM supplemented by MatchedBetting blog. I just prefer the set up, there are loads of offers and I like the Race Matcher which while I appreciate that may be slower than some, at the end of the day you still need to get onto the bookies and exchanges for the odds. PA has more add ons, from my understanding, but you're paying out more and you may have limitations, bankroll wise and time wise, to how much activity you can undertake.

I do donate to Matchedbetting blog, but there's no commitment.

Just what suits me.

Good evening!

I dabbled with a little bit of match betting back when the world cup was on, so opened up a few accounts. However, my husband and I would like to look into this a bit more seriously and I would like some advise.

Should I close all my accounts so that my husband can get the better sign up offers?

Many thanks

Unfortunately that won't really help, if a bookie sees you've closed your account so someone else at the property can get the signup offer they could just close both accounts.

So it would be pointless even though the accounts haven't been used in a year?

Yes it would be pointless to do that. Bookies keep your details for a long time could be years rather than just a few months even when you have closed your Account with them. It would just stay as an inactive Account.
You would have to check Terms And Conditions on each individual Bookie Website to find out what happens when you close your Account and whether they ever get rid of your info.
They don't want people just closing their Accounts then opening a new one a few months later just to get the sign up bonus or another person in the same household trying to get the bonus.

Having tried PA I am going to do the OM free trial soon. I did most of the beginner offers and a couple of advanced ones (lost about 10 days worth due to computer problems, also a lot of the advanced offers look daunting and too complicated for me yet :().

My question is, are the offers usually pretty much the same on both sites? If so, I assume I would probably be starting on OM advanced offers?

Thanks :)

I really dislike the forum on PA, not the userbase, but the layout is not user friendly to me. They would be better with a forum like this.

Also, the MODS are a bit heavy handed with moving threads and deleting/locking them down. I think I might give OM a go once I have done the advanced sign ups.

Given that I have recently I'm short of time, I have cancelled PA at least for a bit - I have still have around 10 days before it expires and might try OM at some point when I'm ready to go back. Given that I'm unemployed, I should have lots of time but I can't see to follow a structure, my days are not well planned and I keep missing offers etc..

I use OM as I have a free years subscription as I won a compo for it.
It has so much to offer but also I would look at other groups on Facebook as they offer things for free.
If your looking into other match betting stuff also try YouTube

Do you advise doing th EW matcher? [member=504]Petrolman[/member] It seems like you need quite a big exchange bank to be able to do them properly? Thanks
