Thanks [member=1]Jon@TheMoneyShed[/member] for mentioning the service.
[member=920]katykicker[/member] I'm not sure if I am being dumb but is there a purpose to this? I already track my bills/car things on a spreadsheet, and regularly lock into new deals with gas/electric etc. IS it just the convenience of it all in one place when you login?
Hi [member=920]katykicker[/member] The intention behind the service is that once you've signed up it automatically collects your bills and presents them with graphs and other useful information so you can get a good sense of what your costs and usage are, as well as alerting you when something like an MOT needs taking care of.
So, it should give a greater level of insight and keep itself up to date, rather than needing to manually maintain a spreadsheet and check dates for when things need doing.
In terms of saving money, the benefit versus going to a price comparison site is that again, it's automatic, so it will tell you the best deals based on your situation, rather than you needing to find and input that information within a price comparison site.
The motivation for creating it was that I'm personally not very good at maintaining spreadsheets and even when I did remember, I didn't have the insight of why I was being charged what I was being charged. I've found that lots of people are in the same position and miss important dates and don't get the best deals as a result.
If you'd like to test it out and see how it compares for you, it would be great to get your feedback.
Thanks!
David
