Nort sure if this exists or is possibly been installed and is on my pc anyway. What I want to do is make some notes which I might use later in the year on a blog. But am I right in saying that if I just store the text on word or notepad, it wont format correctly when i transfer it to an online article?

Microsoft word can be a tricky one. I've had articles sent to me in that format before and when I copy and paste them into Wordpress it can be a bit of a formatting nightmare (but not all the time!)

In terms of jotting down notes I just use 'notes' on my MacbookPro which syncs then across my iphone and iPad so I have access to everything on any device!

Are you wanting a 'note taking' solution that you can access anywhere? If so you are probably looking at one that stays in the Cloud in which case Evernote is a very popular one.

Google Keep is another popular one as well

Thanks, looks like Google Keep will do the trick
It's a great habit to get into!

I can be somewhere REALLY random and then suddenly inspiration strikes and I know if I don't jot down what I am thinking I will forget it in 5 minutes!

I do this for actual 'notes' but if i have a blog idea I will save it as a draft to my blog. Sometimes it is just a title, sometimes it can be more but if its in the drafts, it can then be expanded out at a later time when I'm sat at my desk.
