I've just come off a Skype call about positions currently available with this company. They are looking to fill 100 places (currently 70 left to fill) and the work is on a self-employed basis (so pay your own NI and Tax) expected to last 18 months to 2 years, depending on how fast the surveys are conducted.
What is the job?
Telephone Market Researcher: Contacting customers on behalf of a client to conduct a survey. You have a set script that you read, click the responses given.
What are the hours
Flexible!! Currently 10am-4pm Monday to Friday (perfect I know) They will look at extending the hours once there are more people on the dialer. You are free to work when you like within the dialer hours.
What is the rate of pay?
£6.31 per hour, paid monthly on/around 14th month (for the previous month). There is a bonus scheme after 8 weeks, should you meet requirements. No confirmation from the client as to what this is just yet.
Is there a trial period?
Yes, your first 10 hours will be trial. If you leave or are let go then you will not be paid for these hours.
Training?
Mostly on the job, you learn as you go.
How long do surveys take?
The average is 5.5 minutes, obviously new starters may take a little longer but it also depends on who you are calling (like someone who is very chatty).
What do I need?
PC/Laptop, headset (doesn't have to be fancy), steady internet connected via cable. Some call centre experience is essential.
How do I apply?
Email your CV to info@openoutsourcing.org.uk
What happens next?
If successful you'll be invited to a Skype info session (so you'll need it installed) where you will be told mostly what I have told you but you will get the chance to ask questions and be given a quick demo of their system. Then you'll be invited to a test call with someone in the office before an offer of a position.
I am hoping to get my call in by the end of the week, beginning of next (waiting for Eban to be back at school) with the hope to be on the dialer this time next week (should I be successful).
I have also informed the company about this site and post, inviting them to join so hopefully they will.
