Having trouble with getting Java enabled. Java not enabled in Firefox yet says it is unstable so the plugin is no longer active.Tried in Internet Explorer and then Norton says 'this is unsafe' and promptly removes it.
This is what I have been trying with no luck:

Unless there is a better one I can use that I don't know of?
You need it for 'what users do' so have been trying to get it sorted.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi there

My name is Robert and I am the Panel Manager at WhatUsersDo.

I see a lot of people on this forum are enjoying getting paid £8 for every website test they do for WhatUsersDo, but do let me know if you have any problems. You can also email me: robert@whatusersdo.com

If you're using a mac it's best to use Firefox, rather than Chrome or Internet Explorer. It seems like Firefox isn't enabled, you will just need to enable it, sometimes java can be a bit tricky. If you're using Windows you should be able to use Internet Explorer fine, again Java should work pretty well in Internet Explorer.

I hope this helps!
Robert

Ok thanks. Have to have another go with it. I know Norton didn't like Java so kept uninstalling it every time I tried to use it with Internet Explorer.
I have a Window Laptop and normally use Firefox but Firefox wouldn't allow me to have Java installed. It disabled it all the time saying it wasn't stable.
I am using Firefox Version 32.

Re: A guide to What Users Do.

My headphone / Mic broke last night..

Had to order a new one off Amazon this morning

Just ordered a pretty basic one but I had to abandon a test last night for them as It was barely recording my words and kept dropping out on the recording so would have failed quality control anyway

Re: A guide to What Users Do.

I've just had my first 'available test' email, but the instructions seem a bit vague. If you accept it do you then get further instructions? Don't want to waste half an hour doing it to be told I've done it wrong...

You just follow the instructions and verbalise what you are doing and how you feel about it

Re: A guide to What Users Do.

I missed out on 3 others - 2 had finished, 1 I got screened out. Nice to see that there is a regular amount of tasks on offer. Makes me laugh that an email arrives in the middle of the night, followed by another a few hours later saying it's still available :D
