Bit of a confusing one, email from Appen this morning saying they have renewed my contract for a further 6 months.... I don't have any work with them!?

Ok so I was invited to project Newskah. Has anyone done this one? I went to do the Quiz and it said go to the Facebook link, so I did but the page wasn't accessible to me. So I put that down in the survey and submitted it but I'm not sure what's going on?

Yes had the same problem, drop them an email but according to chat some people have been told project has not started in UK. I was told that they will look into the problem! So who knows! Could be another invited but never start jobs. I hope not.

So as I posted earlier in the thread my end date for Nile was 21st and my access would stop. I still have access. And just received an email telling me I haven’t worked the past seven days and I should do so unless I want to be removed from the project I should complete work.

Anyone on Yukon? I got invited to take the exam (scheduled this week). The guidelines are over 100 pages long and you have to study a few hours for each section of the exam ( there are three sections apparently).

I've just been invited to the exam. Not sure how much hope I'm holding out as they state in the email that it's difficult to pass....(they don't usually say that). Going to read, read read the guidelines over the next few days and then give it a shot. Could really do with this at the minute.

Take your time with the exam, use the guidelines and I’m sure you’ll be fine

3 parts like you said. They don’t let you into the next stage until you’ve passed the last and when I did it you don’t have to do it all in one go and can dip in and out of it all until the exam end date as long as it is submitted before then

It's an open book exam so you can split the screen and flip between the guidelines and the questions

Just got back into Appen, done a video task that was easy, although is taking a long time to upload but heyho, just got to check it goes through ok. Have got approval on some longer term tasks which is good. I am being quite picky after my last experience but it is super easy money.

Well studying isn’t going well. I’ve always been really bad an exams because I struggle to study. Guidelines are 168 pages. So far I’ve read 9. I’m actually posting this to avoid reading.

Good luck to everyone with the exam. I won’t kid myself into thinking I’ll pass!!

Has anyone managed to do the Newskah survey? I keep trying to do the survey and just get it is not available despite them sending me a e mail to say I can do it
