My worst month yet in terms of products, most are not really returnable once you factor in postal charge and for one product it has a 'return charge'!!! Oh well, no skips so at least I get the piece rates.

I have been benched for that one this month. Can't say I'm bothered as the products haven't been much good in recent months. At the moment I'm chomping at the bit waiting for my credentials to arrive for Sutherland. I did the exam a week ago.

Well I actually was able to buy three out of five items this month which is an improvement on the one single item that never arrived last month lol and all sites seemed legit… two from China and one from USA though so I’m not sure returning any of them for a refund would be possible!

currently that project has little/no work too.
I've been working fine on that one for 3 days but today, I get the odd one pop up and then it goes into 'wait here for more to load' - type mode.

I've been trying to trawl through the paperwork to see if I should do that and bill it or will it be rejected. Do you know? I can't find the answer. I'm tagged as 'break' now because it was a bit boring just sitting and waiting.

You only get paid while rating so the bits Inbetween I don't think you can bill for

They never say things clearly when they could say it in a way that makes things confusing! This is why so many questions are asked in chat!

My worst item was weight loss hot drinks, clearly a load of nonsense and not even cheap. The website is legit and based in UK but how they get away with selling these products always surprises me.

Have been lucky enough to get on to S****and and have received an email saying Due to your impressive participation with A***** we would like to invite you to another platform It gives brief idea of the job then a list of steps to follow..... and that’s where it all goes wrong Tried to follow the steps but seem to be going round in circles, don’t even understand what it is I’m trying to do Anyone else had the same email? Any help appreciated ☺️

My only purchase last month were diet pill from the US. I'm b*ggered if I could see how they made a person lose weight. Still, got my refund today.

No but I got, what I'm assuming was, an invitation to apply for something else, but it wasn't clear why I'd got it and it was mixed up with another email. But I went onto the projects page and applied anyway.

I doubt I'll ever get a message from them saying what a impressive job I'm doing :rolleyes:

Good for you, glad you were able to apply No idea why they said that to me as I’m far from impressive as was shown by the fact that I didn’t understand the message and then couldn’t access the unknown thing with the various random links they gave me

So I've had my first invoice rejected, and I'm a but confused, I dnly do the surveys on Appen, so it's all auto generated, I never do anything.

But the note on the invoice says,

Auto reject invoice of reported units 4.0 on project Falcon News Survey (Nipigon) -- User Understanding Survey because your units from client tool is 6.0

Project Nipigon is on it 3 times, all at 2.0 which is 6.0, so are they saying it's meant to be 4.0? How am I meant to change that?

Yes, I've wrote to them and asked them what I'm meant to do, as it is all auto done, so hardly my fault. Plus you can't change anything when submitted, surely it's only a matter of them doing it themselves?! Everything has to be so complicated with them :rolleyes:

Oh no just realised for one of my mystery shopping purchases I entered the price as £15.99 as that’s what it said on the website and at checkout but I’ve just looked at my receipt and noticed they sneakily added another £3.20 of “tax” at the last minute without me noticing :eek: Will Appen notice if my reimbursement receipt doesn’t match the price I put on the rating tool as I can’t see anyway of changing it now? Or is this just a lesson to pay more attention in future:cry: thanks!

OMG now realised it’s actually cheekier than I thought - the original receipt email from the company says £15.99 but my PayPal receipt says £19 odd with this extra “tax” added, so they added it without my consent! :mad: Still confused about how to make sure I get the whole cost reimbursed as the PayPal receipt doesn’t say the shop name, just a random Chinese email address…
