Has anyone successfully taken part in project Y****n, the Appen Search Engine Evaluation job? I've got an invite to take the exam but it looks really time consuming, which I dont mind at all if this is going to be worth it but if its just another one of the needy with no support tasks, I;ll leave it. Thinking of re applying for Telus rating.

I am currently on this project and the past couple of months there has been barely anything or I will get an email alert at about 7/8 in the evening telling me work is now available. I've just checked while typing this and am again getting the 'no work available' message. I checked the project chatroom to see if it was just me and it seems to be across the board that there is no work. The most I do for that project now is to go in and log the work unavailability page to make sure they can see it's not possible to do the minimum hours. Luckily, I have another project that I prefer and has a lot of work but I'll still check in and stay on the project in the hope it gets busier!

Just ploughing my way through the Y academy for want of anything better to do. Looks as though I may be wasting my time but I think I'll plod on in case things pick up and I get invited to do the test again - even though I didn't do very well the first time.

Do they give you the chance to re-take immediately or do you have to wait a set time to apply again? Well I've just been removed from the longer survey project....joy. So with one small survey project I wonder how I will get paid for word done if there is that $50 limit.

Not sure how I managed it but I passed it all in the first attempt so can only tell you that I heard the next day after each of the three parts that I took. I am sure I have read on here that people have commented if you fail they give you another chance within a couple of weeks, hopefully somebody else can confirm that one.

I just received an email to say work available, nothing all day so yes looks like I should really just be logging in evenings and early morning..

Well I've not heard anything after any of the parts and since I finished the third part on Saturday then I guess I didn't pass. I'll chase them up about re-taking the exam if I don't hear anything else in the next week or two.

The N one is the one that's disappeared on my list, which hasn't been live for me for ages anyway but the other @$7 is still there. I wonder if they were just clearing out some old ones. This seems to be the general view on chat for that as well (which hasn't disappeared on my list either and I think they usually do if you've been chucked off.

Exactly the same as you, I was wondering what I had done wrong!

My N news survey is still appearing on my project list so hopefully it will carry on.

Anyone had any joy with project Stillman? I downloaded the app as instructed and filled in the details they gave me, but all I get is no task available.

Can Appen do anything right?
