I've just had an invoice added for Jan with just a single survey on it, I've been doing 2 mini surveys twice a week since the beginning of December and qualified for the Christmas bonus too. Very confused!
How do you do the coney survey more than once? I assumed it was a one time survey

The one I've been doing twice a week was called Newskah, I've now got that 3 times on the invoice, Coney once and Nipigon once. Loads missing unfortunately.

After some back and forth I got most of my missing surveys from last month on this month's invoice. I've been invited to do a bunch of new surveys with them which I started but I also keep a document with dates and all the references to avoid further probs.
I have never known there to be so many problems across so many projects.

I'm recording all my session IDs just in case I have a similar situation. I won't know whether there is a problem until the end of the month as I only started work on the micro projects this month.

You really do need a sense of humour to work with appen.

Qualified for a project a few weeks ago, checked every day and UK submissions were paused. Big warning saying don't submit if your location is paused as you won't be paid. So I've submitted 0 work.

Got an email today saying I've been removed as the work I've submitted is below the 80% quality threshold. Have emailed support but don't expect a reply.

Only project I have with them hasn't had any work since September, everything I qualify for has no work and I have about 20 'applications' sitting there. So really need to find another income source at this point.

Ah well, it is what it is, sorry for the little rant!

I am on the same project and also did no work but have not yet got the email. From the chat, we may be the lucky ones as payments for work done have been removed from invoices! Really don't understand what is happening with Appen. Worried about the month's invoice now for my normal projects.

Anyone working project Amur? Is it worth it? Looks quite time consuming with little pay.

I‘ve just registered with Appen few weeks ago, my account took a while to be validated and all I hear now is how bad they are...
I have 14 projects I’ve applied for, keep on getting acceptance emails, with zero progress to my application. I guess I just keep on applying and hope the situation will improve.

Yes, I am on it. It is a bit of a faff but I enjoy the surprise element of it! I have been lucky enough to get hold of some decent stuff that I want or can gift at birthday/Xmas which saves you money. However, I also know of people who have got nothing but tatt. You do get a piece rate for each item as well as your money back but due to the exchange rate, you do often make a 5% loss on the reimbursement. Unofficially, you can also return items after you have done all the reviews. It can take quite a while to get your money back so you do need to have the money up front to do the purchases first.

This is exactly how all people seem to start on it except the lucky few. I hate to say it but I think it was 8 months before I got any sort of project and at one time I had 20 projects processing!!!

thank you. I wasn’t expecting to work straight away. I work p/t FH so decided to utilise my time in front of pc to look around for other options of income. I’m normally in front line client related role so it’s nice for a change to be a bit more anonymous.
still trying to get onto crisp with no luck...

Not doing very well here. Just failed the Paulins test (tbh, I think I didn't care towards the end, so not surprised) and also the Pollock transcribing one. I can do that one again but I don't think I'm interested - still making my mind up. I think my lack of enthusiasm is the dreaful site. It's a total mess and all over the place.

Any thoughts on Kar*a project? I have an entry test pending. Not sure if it’s worth my time. Any advice would be appreciated.

Touch wood I’ve never had any issue with my invoice that wasn’t sorted before the submission deadline.

But it did make me chuckle. I get they can’t send personalised emailed to everyone but surely they could have managed two. One for those removed before starting and one for those removed because of poor quality.

It's all very random. I seem to be still on the project, despite doing nothing. I never even knew it had started as never got an email to say there was work! No doubt I will be on it for years and never do a single thing!

I failed the Pollock one too, I stupidly thought there was only one part to it, which was so easy, but then came the awful transcribe section! Nineteen pages of instructions to get through, I lost the will when I saw that.

I failed one last week as well, can't remember the name, (it may have been Paulins as well)but was a bit disappointed as I was getting the hang of it ok, but I probably got some questions wrong at the start as I didn't fully understand it. I guess you have to get 100% to pass any of these tests.
