Your project should autogenerate so you don't need to create an invoice (they normally add this project every Tuesday to the invoice). However, you should keep a note of when you completed them with the completed code as some months they make errors and forget to add them! In these cases, you would need to submit a ticket with this information. Invoices are normally submitted at the start of the next month, and in the news and updates section, they normally put the deadline date.
Thank-you. I've just asked the same question on their ticket system and frankly - your answer is a lot simpler than theirs. It was as clear as mud. I'm also doing Newhalen/Newaukum. Does this also apply to Amur, the shopping one do you know? I'm assuming it does...

Yes it does. The piece rate is normally applied 2-3 weeks after completion and then refunds are applied as a bonus once you have submitted your invoice!

Anyone not had reccent surveys added to their invoice? The last one showing on mine is on the 9th, but I've done a few since then. I thought it was suppose to be updated weekly.

Well, exactly. Hence my question. My last date is the 10th. I think I'll wait it out 'til the end of the month and see what happens.

From my experience, if you have missing surveys, send a ticket early with dates etc rather than at the end of the month. They are inundated with support tickets across all projects at that point and you end up waiting for ages for a reply.
Also for Newh888n, news on the project page says it has gone from every week to once every other week although the emails contradict this. This may mean you have done some surplus surveys. Yes the communication is not great.

News and update section? Where is that?

I didn't know that. Thank-you.

Where do I go on the Appen website to send a ticket? I can't see a link to any kind of ticket or support system anywhere...

EDIT: Oh the envelope icon? I guess that's it.

Ah I hadn't see your post somehow. Mine was updated earlier today but there are at least a couple missing.

Yes, I pointed out the discrepancy between the project overview and the emails sent out when they came back with another barely understandable answer to my follow up question, which, roughly translated, said "wtf are you on about?"

Oh no :ROFLMAO:

Well I sent them a message earlier, fingers crossed I get a reply that helps at least a little bit.

I have applied to a few projects and now have this on appen, how do I work these?
Does this mean that I'm accepted or are there more steps as it all seems a bit complicated and not very clear?
Thanks.

I am on Newhalen - look our for an email to link to the survey. Ive also applied for Newaukum but my dashboard looks similar to yours on that one - when you click on 'work this' are you getting a pop up saying that you have registered but there is nothing for you to do Yet? Ive applied for about ten and getting that message on all but New Halen

New Appen project - 20/30 hours a week commitment. Just wondering if this is the same as my current Lionbridge SME job, - my year is up in May but let's say my some HUGE quirk of fate I get accepted for this one, will they also realise about my Lionbridge job
PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Sutherland consists of various tasks focusing on improving the accuracy of our client’s tooling. Consultants will be selecting entities from various document types.

Web Search evaluators work 4-6 hours a day (Saturday through Friday) depending on current project opening opportunity. Evaluators commit to be available to complete a minimum of 20 production hours each week when data is available.

I've just received that one as well although I haven't clicked through yet although I hope it is similar.

I got an email yesterday to say my contract has been extended for 6 months. But it didn't say for what. I wonder if they mean generally although I can't imagine why you would get kicked off the whole site.

I completed a brief survey for them, about them, and ticked 'yes' to 'would you mind if someone contacted you to discuss your answers in more detail'. I've got a lot to say to them about their website generally, contrary information all over the place and lack of clarity. They'll be sorry they asked :sneaky:

I would imagine it is an extension to your contract for a particular project.
