I'm finding Appen arent as helpful as Lionbridge with support. I messaged support the other day re the speech recording task I had done, as they sent me a message to invite family members onto it but I wanted to know if mine had been accepted first No reply to that.
Tried to submit invoice for the news relevance project today but a message keeps coming up which doesn't make any sense to me and to make it worse its in light orange text on a white background.
They messaged me the other day saying I had been selected for project Mumbo but it's not on the list of available projects, possibly because my smartphone doesn't match their criteria but I've messaged them...no a reply

It's certainly chaotic. 3 days ago,I was told for Sutherland that I need to wait 24-48hrs to get my log-in credentials. Have I got them? Of course not.

I'm just trying to summon the energy to raise a query about that and Paluxy.

Thats great. Thanks for your help.

I have heard that Appen need your CV. However I wasn't asked for my CV when I registered and I havent had an email asking for it. Do I just need to wait for an email or should I have been asked for it when I registered?
I have not had to submit my CV to date. I wonder if it might be project specific or there just in case they feel they need to know a bit more about you, a bit like the verification process you have with bookmakers, to keep any industry regulators on side.

Normally after a, few days you can assume the project was filled and you were too late. It can be a pain on times

Really? Oh bum, I didn't know that and this is one I was actually looking forward to. I sent a ticket about it a couple of hours ago. Thanks for the information.

It's not always the case, they do tend to mess you about a lot though. If you see something come up its best to appy straightaway as its often first come and the rest don't get in

What do people do with invoice submitting when they did surveys at the end of the month?

I did a Newhalen and Newaukum yesterday (30th), so I guess they wont show on the invoice until a week or so. Say it takes a week, is it ok to wait unil the 7th of the month to submit the last invoice? I usually do it on the 1st or 2nd.

Same here, qualified for the same project a few days back, but I eventually found the SRT sign up email lurking in my junk folder so might be worth a look there? Unfortunately it’s still not working as it’s saying the activation code they’ve sent me isn’t valid  two steps forward one step back lol ;)

Thanks for that. I've just looked in my spam and there it is, having come in last night after I sent my ticket. Now trying to find the energy to click on it.

I don't know. I'm hoping it'll update on Monday and that would be OK. I've got the same issue.

Glad you found it, let me know if you work out how to get the flipping activation code working :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The product I purchased for the mystery shopping from a dodgy looking website predictably still hasn’t arrived, been nearly a month now, has anyone ever had any luck getting a refund from PayPal in such a situation? I know I’ll be getting the refund from Appen but since I’ve only made $7 out of this project so far this month it’d be nice to get my money back too lol!

The project teams normally makes sure all surveys to the end of the previous month are uploaded to the invoices before the invoice submission cut off point. I would suggest logging in to your account and looking at the Social page to try and keep up with what is going on generally at Appen.

Fingers crossed that it does!

Oh that's good, I'll keep checking then, thanks!

Well, I'm in and been working on it this afternoon. I'm about an hour away from my first day and it seem easier than they make it sound (or I'm doing it completely wrong)

Yes, looking back at the guidelines, I've made a few mistakes where I was uncertain and also, a couple of times I'd ticked a box and accidently hit 'skip'. I'd have thought if the box was ticked you'd be unable to 'skip'. Anyway, I possibly rushed it a bit and will slow down today, now I realise that it's pretty easy to hit the target rate and I don't have to go like the clappers.

For the timings it says to record your oen time. Then it says they take the total review time and the total research time added together is what they go by.... So why not just take that?

Bit confused
