Has anyone ever submitted their invoice late? I'm missing some hours and have contacted the support team but they haven't replied yet & it's 2 days past the submission date, will the payment be included in the next pay cycle if I'm really late submitting it, concerned they’re not going to reply until after the weekend?
I had the same issue before and as the support team took a while I just submitted it after reading advice on here/Appen forum and then the hours were added before approval. I think it depends which hours you wait for, mine are all to do with the surveys. I submitted this month with some missing and they were there after approval. Definitely frustrating wait times though!

getting invited to a lot of short-term appen projects this weekend!
Which platform do you find gets the best results if you don't mind me asking?I keep wondering if it's worth doing the UHRS but I think I would need to do that on a Windows computer? Is that worth doing do you know? I mean I like the ADAP tasks but it barely brings in any money. Thanks :)

It’s hard to say as on Appen there is a LOT of applying but not a lot of working and thr short term projects tend to be “one and done” style ones

I submitted mine one day late once and it was paid on time, but that's my only experience. How frustrating.

Thank you both, decided to submit it in the end & it's been approved, hopefully support will see my messages & add the extra hours this month!

I was offered a transcription project on Appen China once, but the pay was something like 5-8 usd per hour, so decided not to do it in the end.
I signed up but like you, have never, ever bothered with it because of pay. I've also seen somewhere (probably Appen's general chat thing) that it's a nightmare to use and messes royally with your PC.

I like doing the transcription and have never really done much else.
I've just applied for a transcription project with Appen. The guidelines look quite complicated compared to doing transcriptions for Rev, but I'm hoping the pay might be better. How easy is it once you get going and do you get the quoted hourly rate or does it depend on how quick you are at the transcriptions?

It depends on your speed. The one I'm doing now is really tough and I don't see I can get near the hourly rate. They are also very hot on accuracy. It suits my lifestyle though. The chatrooms are really helpful and spending time reading through those can help. Which one are you going for?

Anclote was the one I was invited to apply for. I already have a range of other freelance work I do, but I figure I'd try this out and see if it was better work or better paid than some of the others. I do find the Rev transcriptions interesting, but I think at my speed the rate is not great.

The transcription rules for this look quite fiddly, but I guess you'd get used to them after a while.

Ahh I'm doing that one, I think it runs till next year. Yes you get used to the guidelines and I think the audio is often a lot better quality than some other projects as well, which helps :)

Do you get a lot of work from REV?

There's as much work as you want to do with Rev, certainly most of the time. 531 claimable projects as of this moment. Obviously quieter at the weekend. But you could transcribe projects all day if you wanted to.

I never do more than one or two transcriptions max, but each one is generally around 30 minutes of audio and takes me 2 - 3 hours to complete.
