£390 + £30 Free Bets tomorrow for me.

There are never any offers for the Grand National unfortunately, but there is a World Cup in diving / football to come, there should be lots of offers for that.

IPL first in April though yipeeeeeee!

@Hezzy the £20 from Sky was in earlier earlier today, used mine on the 1530 so was before that.

There's normally at least some offers for Goodwood, Ascot, etc so there should definitely be more to come. Even some of the lesser festivals like St ledgers and the eeyore* festival carry some offers, but nothing like the madness of this week.

*private joke to myself after the horses I backed last year all came last. Its actually called Ebor.

Only £173 and another £20 free bets here, but it was my first Cheltenham and I didn't know what I was doing half the time! ;)

Kind of looking forward to a bit of a rest now!

Looking at my spreadsheet for last year I used a bunch of Free Bets on it, though I didn't have notes where I got them from. They were fairly small amounts though so nothing amazing, mostly £5 bets that I gave to my other half because he's a 'why have 1 bet on the National when I can have 5' kinda guy

Needless to say, I didn't make make much money, LOL, though I do also see that I went for a lot of Extra Places - I don't normally bother with those (effort v reward isn't my kind of thing), so must have been a decent amount of those flying around too for me to pull my finger out.

Good to know, I'll have to pay more attention during the summer months when there's no footie as I've clearly been missing out!

Also fairly sure I'm going to think of Eeyore now, every time Ebor is mentioned..thanks ;)

£51 today and £377 in total. That includes the £30 sign up with betway to do their refund offers.

I am really pleased as I wasn't going to do Cheltenham as never bet on a horse before in my life, only decided to take the plunge on monday. I have been learning some things as I go along. I have made a couple of mistakes but nothing to bad.

£300+ for me today. So after toting up a few free spins wins, my total for the 4 days is sitting at a very nice £1050 (beating my £650 for the last time) One £10 free bet to use. A really good week helped by Native River and a few others. Dedicating the time to it definitely helps

I took up a sign up offer at SportNation for 7 x £2.50 free bets each day at Cheltenham. I pretty quickly realised that I wouldn't be able to lay them off at Betfair due to the £2 bet limit so I decided to just place the bets and not worry about laying them off, they were free anyway.

I know zip all about form so I thought I would just bet the favourites in each race. If even one a day came up I would be in profit, so that's what I did. Well, the only favourite that actually won made me the princely sum of 1.54, which was probably as much as I lost on the qualifying bet. Doh!

For some reason I had 7 x £2.50 bets for today as well so I have used them on Uttoxeter races. However it occured to me too late that if I had picked one race each day and bet the first seven horses I would have won a good amount each day.

The benefits of hindsight.

For future info, you can lay under £2 on smarkets, so that could have been an option.

Also, there is a way you can get betfair to take smaller lays, although it is a bit fiddly........

Click the bet you want and the betslip window will open in the top right of the screen. Enter LAY odds of 0.01 and put in the stake of £2 and place the bet.

This bet will not be matched. Click the Go to my bets button and update the £2 stake to include the stake you actually want to place. So if you want to place a £0.50p bet change the stake to £2.50. Click update and then go to my bets.

You will now see two bets, one for £2 and one for £0.50p. Click the small red x next to the £2 so it will be deleted when you update. Then change the odds of the £0.50p bet to the odds you want to actually place. Update again and then go to my bets and you should see your 50p bet.

Anyone else got that email from OddsMonkey about them being sponsors for the FA Cup came on BBC1

The lines are truly blurred!!

Hey Jon,

We've got some fantastic news and we just had to tell you!

The monkeys are buzzing around the office with excitement this week as we've found out we're going to be playing with Wigan Athletic this Sunday!

Ok...not really, but we ARE going to be featured on the pitch with them! If you're attending the FA Cup Quarter Final match against Southampton, you'll find a full page dedicated to OddsMonkey in the matchday programme so you can show your mates exactly what matched betting is and prove that we're the real deal.

And not only that, our logo will be featured on the shorts of all the Wigan players(so cool!) AND our little monkey face will bouncing around the pitch side as Wigan take on Southampton to battle for a place in the semi-finals of the FA cup.

I could have laid, but decided to go the punt route. Watched the ITV preview show and picked horses based on some of the tips there. Managed to hit 6 wins @ £100 total. That preview show is definitely worth a look.

£284.38 is the figure I've arrived on for all my bets Monday til today. There is a possibility it could be higher depending on BOG and I think a winning Unibet free bet may have had the stake returned - not sure but would be a first for me.

That would also have been higher if I'd laid the Sports Nation free bets.

Will be doing mostly mug bets for the next while as I said in an earlier post. I'm expecting to lose a few accounts regardless.

I want to offer a massive thanks to Jon (was a throwaway comment from him that started me on this) and everyone who contributes here. I'm nearer the bottom end of the pay scale and this is a huge sum to me.
