It comes to most of us unfortunately. Do remember though this is just Sportsbook and not the Exchange - nobody gets gubbed by the Exchange.

I'd had my Betfair account for 15 years or so and never really used the Sportsbook. Started doing the horse refunds (and not much else) and was gubbed a couple of months later.

I’m really cross with myself. Wonder if I just continue to do the bets they might think I’m an “ordinary punter” and reinstate me??

They don't have a history of reinstating . If you ever use them as an exchange (for laying that is) then it is unlikely they will change their mind. You will also find that there will be some limitations on the size of bets you can put on @ Sportsbook (especially if the price is a good one - e.g. Rickie Fowler who is currently an arb if you have a 0% Matchbook account). I still use sportsbook but only for Dutching or the odd arb.

Good advice. I don’t use matchbook yet as have 0% on smarkets. But will register for future use

Does this mean it will provoke an imminent gubbing? I know Black Type gubbed me the first time I tried their 'bet and get' offer (they let me place all 10 qualifying bets first though, the jerks )
