That can't be legal - would they say you can't invest more than £100 a month in shares or buy that amount of lottery tickets. Surely impossible to enforce too across multiple bookmakers?

The key phrase in there is "think-tank". For "think-tank" read "organisation that needs to live by people paying for it's 'reports' and as such produces ones that give it the best chance of getting headlines". These are the sort of 'experts' that were so derided during the Brexit debate, because they are not 'experts' at all.

The bookies are supposed to identify and restrict problem gamblers as well but they don't because they make money from them - why don't we simply recommend tighter procedures and harsher penalties for the bookies when they don't do this?

You've just spent most of the last 9 months being confined to your home and made to wear a face nappy everywhere you go. You might not have thought that was legal a year a go. Don't forget the govt line is people are stupid and need to be protected from themselves, so I fully expect some changes to gambling laws will come. Perhaps with a maximum deposit limit and maybe changes to the way it is taxed too. The government review is due to be held shortly.

Sorry my reply is too late for the match, but for future info - these are can be played as a straight forward back and lay on the normal win or lose or draw market, then if both teams score you will gain the free bet. If they don't you get nowt.

You could lay a little bit on the both teams to score market to guarantee a profit, either pre match or after one team has scored. But those markets don't have the best liquidity and you might not get great odds.

Sorry @Karonher I missed this too (too busy watching the matches). I just punted it and figured if my bet lost I'd get a £5 FB back if both teams scored. They didn't though and my bet lost so maybe your strategy was the better one
