Something to consider when going for Goals or Wins with 'sure fire' bets!

Not impressed with PA's price increase! I stepped away for 2 months where I was paying £18 for full access including casino offers and now they want to charge £40! £18 only gets me sports offers now, with no casino section even in the forum.

ah man yeah that's a shame you stepped away as the price doesn't change or existing users i don't think

I'd imagine it will eventually. You can't have some people paying more than double for the same service.

That's when I think a lot of people will walk away. not everyone makes thousands from it. I know I would not pay that when some months I don't make much more than £40.

I don't disagree that they (PA and OM) may eventually have to push up prices for existing users, but they would be in a bit of a Lib Dem situation as they have promised that prices will stay the same as long as you are a subscriber. And after 4 1/2 years with OM they have kept that promise. Breaking that promise would be very costly indeed, especially as the more experienced you are the less you need the service. If they didn't have the 0% offers with SM and Betdaq, then it would be hard for me to justify the subscription these days.

The irony is that the promises that have been made are probably why they are increasing prices, and at a time when the offers are a lot less than they were and it is difficult to recruit new subscribers

I'm a bit stuck on how to use the Unibet welcome offer
Detailed here: https://www.unibet.co.uk/bonustaclauncher?campaignId=1042110

Do I just use the first bet on Unibet as a complete punt without laying it in the exchange? All the wagering 3x is making me a bit confused as to what I need to do?

2) Using the Money Back Offer

- Place a sports bet (except Racing) of minimum £1 with odds 2/5 (1.40) or greater.

- If your bet wins, you have completed the bonus, you receive your winnings and your stake.

- If your bet loses, you will receive your stake back up to a maximum of £40.

3) Wagering the bonus money:

You cannot withdraw your bonus money until you’ve completed the bonus (or if you’ve cancelled it or if it has expired)

Sportsbook: Bet your bonus 3x

- If you received £40 bonus money you need to bet £120 to complete the bonus conditions.

- Sportsbook bets will count towards the total once they’ve been settled. Only bets with odds of 2/5 (1.40) or greater will count.

- If you are placing a multiples bet, each leg of the multiple bet has to be over 2/5 (1.40) for the bet to qualify.

- Only bets settled within the bonus validity period of 7 days, to the hour and minute from when you signed up, will count.

- Cashed out bets will not count towards the wagering requirement.

If you get the bonus money (your first bet loses) then you have to place £120 worth of bets (min odds 1.4) for that bonus money to become your money. However, I believe that if you lose the bonus money at any point then the offer is over.

You do lay all the bets at the exchange, but you do have to use slightly different strategies at each stage. This is really where an OM or PA subscription is useful as they have full guides for each stage.

Yeah I think if you 'win' a bet on Unibet then the offer stops - I think I'm just going to take a small punt (£10 on something) and perhaps trade on the exchange if necessary to minimize any loss of that tenner. Because I really cant be bothered to mess about with this 3x wagering malarkey and then lose the bonus money if you happen to win the bet at the bookmakers.

I've noticed a lot of bookies seem to making the welcome offers more complex like this. Must be a strategic ploy to try and deter the matched better? As they're counting on people like to me to think stuff it

Don't be deterred. You should make between £25 and £30 on this offer. If you are going to do MB seriously then you should have a go at this offer, as this type of offer (as you say) is becoming more common.

True but I've completed 97% of bookies welcome offers now, Unibet slipped through the net and is one of the very few remaining I haven't touched. I'll have to think about it because will need to make sure I have the right bank for an offer like this

BACKING: Treat the first Unibet £40 bet as a risk free bet. Look for reasonably high odds, say 4.50+.
LAYING: Treat your lay bet as if Stake Not Returned. For 4.50/4.50 back/lay odds, lay around £30.

a) If 1st Unibet bet wins, your +£140 at Unibet minus £105 lay loss equals £35 to play with for the £120 bonus rollover.
Then back/lay £120 worth of bets at 1.40+ (lay as Stake Returned). You should lose a few quid - giving you £30+ net profit.

b) If 1st Unibet bet loses, you've completed the offer. The £30 exchange lay bet wins, minus a small commission.

So you're looking at an easy £30 profit.

Thanks for your help. I think I get it, but I'm confused where you say

"a) If 1st Unibet bet wins, your +£140 at Unibet minus £105 lay loss equals £35 to play with for the £120 bonus rollover."

If the first Unibet wins the offer doesn't apply right and there no requirement to rollover as they won't give you a bonus in that scenario? Like you point out in scenario b?

Is there a chance that if win the first bet on Unibet and lose on the exchange, this will basically be like getting a qualifying loss? Actually the more I think about it the more my head hurts. Sorry for being so thick.
