Matched betting in shops is harder now than before, as lots of bookies benchmark their odds to the exchange price. But there are opportunities if you keep your eyes peeled, using the same strategies from OddsMonkey/PA.

Nowadays the trend is more towards value betting and +EV rather than purely risk free stuff.

I would say now is a pretty good time to start. Cheltenham it’s just around the corner (the richest week in matched betting) And there are some pretty good new customers offers as it is the start of the New Year.

Not that I'm aware of. But might be worth checking, for example, Ladbrokes Grid and Betfred Twitter feed.

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I will post this here. As you can see I have already made £30 + from the Swindon vs Manchester City that is to be kicked off today.

There is a strategy of pre-game trading whereby traders trade prior to kick off as they have information before it's officially announced. Once the official news is announced you are then able to trade out for a profit.

In this instance, I knew Manchester City had a covid outbreak so I layed Man City.

I am testing this and I made around £11 on the Spurs vs West Ham previously, so I will keep you guys updated once I start to feel confident with the information

a) you can benchmark the previously available price before the 'news' came out
b) if you are confident that the market hasn't already priced in that information

The strategy would be more consistent if you can work out your own odds, I.e. What you believe the true price should be based on stats/benchmarking other information.

£30 a month is a lot. I think they set it that high to make their yearly option seem cheap ang get people to sign up for the year.

I agree with you, but I have researched and it's not an avenue I will go down as yet.

You're getting some good results I like trading pre-match too. I don't have up front information but as long as you have an idea which direction the market is likely to move in, it's possible to make a little sum here and there just by scalping ticks.
