Nope, not done much with them lately at all. I have no clue.

That's like me, it seems like they don't like it if you do some offers, even with mug bets, then go quiet.

How did it go? I've made a lot from ACCAs by forgetting to lay. It turns out going to the pub can be good for the bank :p

One won and the other drew so lost. I am not sure what to do now. It was a lock in one. First leg I laid and then second leg I didn't lay lost. Do I carry on laying or stop and hope the rest win so I claw back some of the loss with the free bet? If I carry on laying, how do I work out what to lay??? Anyone know?

Have you tried changing the lay stake to 0 for that leg (as this is correct), after clicking undo to get you back to the point it didn't lose, then click the cross (for the loss) and see what the calculator now says.

PS the other Acca should now have a big profit so they may offset.

Luckily, the palace game was only leg 2 of the acca, so it hasn't cost you that much in the grand schemes. The total cost of this acca is now just over £30 i believe.

If you go ahead and lay now, you'll only be laying against the refund, so you could claw back some losses but you'll still end up down a few quid.

Personally, i would now just go full AP (no lay) looking at the remaining legs and hope they all win and then use the free bet to recoup most of the loss.

Out of interest, can you not edit your lay stakes on that software? IE change the actual lay stake on palace to 0, or 0.01?

How much did the other acca make you by forgetting to lay? If it was around the same amount this one has lost, i would definitely just go full AP now.

The 'profit' figure is wrong, but the new lay figures are about right. Not the software i use though.

To be honest, even if you now go ahead and lay the next games against the refund, you'll still be looking at an acca which has lost around £25, so after the free bet, you'll be just shy of break even.

I don't understand why your liability can be less than you stake in the exchange. Surely you must have to place you stake?

Sorry in advance as this is probably a dumb question, but here goes...
I was just doing the coral snooker offer, and you calculate the qualifying bet as SNR. Well, why not do all qualifying bets as SNR, and then you would make money on that bet as well as any free bets?
Dumb, eh?

The Snooker offer is a risk free bet, so you need to underlay (SNR does this). Otherwise, if you laid the full amount and the bet won you won't benefit from the risk free element.

If you underlaid all your bets, as in your question, if they lost you would have a much larger qualifying loss as there is no free bet on offer to make up the loss.

Maybe an example will help explain.

Offer - place a bet on Johnny Briggs to win - if it loses get a free bet to the value of your initial stake. (this is the same as the coral offer)

So, Bet £10 on Johnny Briggs at 5.0 to win, lay £7.72 at 5.2

As you can see we have laid less than the value of our bet. This means if little Johnny does go on to win we will pocket a profit of £7.58, thanks to the underlay, but we don't qualify for the free bet. If he loses, then we will only get our lay minus commission back (£7.56) which would normally be a loss, but thanks to the risk free offer we have a £10 free bet credited to the account which will bring us back into profit once used.

When offers aren't connected to the bet losing then there is no need to underlay and doing so risks losing money if the bet doesn't win, much more so if the odds are wide.

Compare this to the Bet365 4/1 horses offer which rewards a free bet if it wins, rather than loses. If we underlaid this offer we would always lose out if the bet loses. In fact, we should overlay this one to cover commission as the extra money we pay from the exchange will be covered by the free bet.

So it depends on the nature of the offer

Not sure how well I explained that

Well not a bad weekend to say i've been busy and out of the house for the majority!

Topped off by this on Bet365, found a lost tenner in the casino from the free spins promo, which was locked and needed £20 of wagering apparently...
