Maybe the above settled at best odds guaranteed of 6/4 instead of 11/8 as the horse might have drifted in the market before the race. Check Sportinglife by googling fast results then searching their site for full results, then sort by date and meeting.

Definitely looks like Best Odds, some bookies don't put any indication on your bet that it happened, just if you notice the extra money.

Betfair have credited me with a free £5 bet to use on exchange games. Any recommendations as to what to do with this?

Thanks

I've found a thread about them on PA, so have asked there.

I signed up to Betfair through TCB, the terms are "Bet £10 get £10 in free bets. Minimum deposit and bet of £20 is necessary to qualify for cashback."

I've only used Betfair as an exchange so far, if I use it to place a back bet then I assume there's no commission and it behaves like any other bookie.

Also why say bet £10 and get £10 when you have to deposit and bet £20?

Oh yes and I signed up to SkyBet today and they rang tonight to see what I thought to the site and the registration process then credited me with a £5 free bet for my trouble (qualifying bet required). Thank you SkyBet :)

Just chiming in to say that I'm just waiting for my second ever free bet (from the free trial of profit accumulator) but am pretty excited for the matched betting prospects. I'm even more excited after poking around a bit more in here.

I used to work in a bookies years ago and the lingo is all flooding back ;) Hopefully will have my free bet in time for Ascot this weekend (I think it's this weekend..)

I watched the black jack games for a while with the intention of backing a player who got blackjack, but I lucked out as on one round a player got a 5-card trick (which trumps everything else), so I backed them at 1.1 (somewhere around that) and ended up with £5.48 :)

Just made about £45 on the Live Casino offer on BF, had the most amazing run of luck on Blackjack both during qualifying and the bonus wagering.

I got very very lucky, made about £10 from qualifying so went into the £5 a hand, 1st hand was a Blackjack, second hand was a doubled win and 3rd hand was 2 split wins, 1/2 way through the WR and up £25 from the bonus.

I can't wait until my pot gets bigger so that I can take advantage of these offers, progress seems so slow at the moment.

You've only just started, everything will come in time. Matched Betting isn't going anywhere so there's no rush but I do understand your frustration as it can seem like you are missing out on money for nothing just because you haven't got a big enough pot but it WILL get bigger!

I tend to sit with a £2000 pot so that I can do any offer I want though obviously weekends are busy.

Thanks Jon, I got my first PA offer email today and like you say I do feel like I'm missing out, but I keep telling myself that there'll be other offers :)

BTW is 2k the optimal amount to have floating about? E.g. Withdraw and keep anything over that, otherwise we'd never see any benefit?

I think like you I just wanted to be able to do any offer that came along so I got to £2k and now just skim everything on top as profit ;)

Is anyone doing the Paddy Power roulette offer, tiered bonus of up to £4300 wager for £100 bonus. I've done the first tier so far, £300 for £10 bonus and made £16, not sure how far I want to go but started at £50 and never even dropped below £40.
