Can anyone shed some light on what betfair holidays are? Apparently I have 333 exchange points which works out as 2 betfair holidays available? I have no idea!

Did that 'wager £13 for 13 free spins' on william hill casino on friday.

Got my 13 free spins and used it on jackpot Bells which is £2 a spin and have come out £46 up ;)

Image attached, under promotions - points and holidays, when I click on the 'book holiday' it gives me a list of weeks to chose from.. I'm confused!

More points = lower commission on betfair.
However you lose a percentage of your points every week, 10% I think?

You can book holidays so you don't lose any points that week.

Nothing exciting I'm afraid ;)

Ola!

5 folds are a type of accumulator bet.
You have to place a bet on 5 different matches.
If they all win, you win the 5 fold bet.
If 1 or more loses you lose the bet.

You can lay accumulators but they are quite a bit more complicated than normal sign ups.
What are the minimum odds on the free bet?

Hi Wobble. As far as I can tell there's no stipulation on odds for the free bet. I think it was 2.1 on the qualifying bet of £10

It is 15%. You can book a holiday to stop this happening in a week, but it means you cannot earn points in that week either (i.e. if you are going on holiday and will be doing no betting in that week). You need to get to 1000 points to get a discount on the normal 5% commission charged by BF (which is 2% of the 5% - i.e. 4.9% - to get to the overall 2% charged by Smarkets you need to get to 150,000 points !!!!)

PS for MamaMidwife - from your screenshot if you click on "More points details" you will probably see last weeks reduction in the list

Ah interesting thanks, so rather than let them build up, it's best to pick the 'holiday' and use them?

Unless you are doing some SERIOUS betting with Betfair (and 333 points is a long way from the 150,000 where it really becomes useful - that 333 is probably 283 this morning anyway), then ignore them. Smarkets is 2% commission so use that rather than contemplate the £10Ks of betting (PER WEEK) you would need to do to get anywhere near that 2% figure with BF. To get to the 1000 points first threshold you would need to do £5000 of bets (lay and back count equally) and that only changes your 5% to 4.9%. I have done nearly £100k worth of betting in 15 months and if I had placed all of that on BF (and had no weekly decay) I would still only be on 3.75% commission.

PS If you are thinking you can 'use' them then this isn't the case. Some bookies/casinos allow you to accumulate points for your activity and then convert points into cash or prizes, but with BF these are just used to change the commission rate.

Just wanted to Vent.

4 weeks ago 10bet ran a mobile offer of bet 4x£10 get a free £10 bet. It was going to be an ongoing offer so the next week I made my 4 bets and sat back to wait for my free bet. Noticed once it was too late they had increased it to bet 5x£10 for £10. Even though I'm sure they started the week still saying bet 4. So my bets were for nothing.

This week I had some spare time so decided to do the 5 bets for £10 making sure I did 5 this time. Bugger me the f**kers moved it up again to bet 10x£10 for free £10. And again I didn't notice until it was too late. So still no free bet.

Moral of the story, double check T&C's before you bet even if you think you know what the offer is.
