Me again

Can i bet on the same match twice using betfair exchange? At the moment for a QB I have bet on one team to win, but for another bet (different bookie) I want to bet on the other team as that matches the odds I want for my free bet. So 2 bookies but using betfair exchange for both?
Thanks

yeah that's fine just remember to set the calc to SNR for the free bet!

perfect, thank you :-D so far have managed not to make that mistake, but had a close shave when I got distracted one time :)

Just as an aside, I set my husband up tonight to start MB - is it ok to use the same PA for us both do you think?

It's actually quite beneficial to make multiple exchange bets on different outcomes, as they then share liability (only 1 team can win, so the exchange takes that into account because it knows that the other bet(s) are guaranteed to lose).

It's basically how I got through the whole of Cheltenham with a small bank - but I do it whenever I can anyhow because it ensures my exchange will never get cleared out of funds.

So I read/listened to all the instructions yesterday on PA and this morning read them again, and have followed through the first free bet instructions.

I hope I've done it all correctly! I think I've got the hang of how all the filters work on Oddsmatching. Going to wait to see if it all works ok before I do anything else :)

You'll be fine

You'll see how the Math works and how it makes you money each and every time...

and then you will wish you had started it sooner.

... and then after that you will start planning holidays etc with the extra thousands of pounds you are going to be making ;)

I think taking my time reading everything, sleeping on it, then reading it again before following it all through has helped make the maths work in my head (maths isn't my strong point!) - even made myself a little spreadsheet so I can follow through the first set of results myself. A bit sad perhaps?! ;) I'm just using it to fill in free time in my work diary - may as well earn a few £ with the free time than not :)

My car needs some bits n bobs doing to it so that's want I want to cover first, then I'll start booking cruises... :D

That's a good tip! So when my exchange is low, its worth looking out for this situation then. Thanks :-D

Does anyone else use Tonybet? If so have you had any issues with them and wagering or getting answers via chat?

Skybet are being stinky today. They offered me 5 free spins if I bet £5, but over £5 later still no free spins  Still, I'm £18 up so the joke's on them!

Exactly! As long as you have the liability to cover the highest value Lay bet, everything else - as long as it's on a different result on the same market - falls within that highest amount so you can have multiple bets covered :)

Am barely at home today but I've managed to slam around £1400 on horse refunds quickly before I have to head on out again!

Does anyone know if its normal for the reduction factor for non-runners to be different between bookies & smarkets? William Hill had a 10% reduction & smarkets only 8.3%! Thanks

Yes, it's fairly common for them to be slightly different, though 9 times out of 10, if your horse wins at the bookie, it'll be in your favour. Obviously not much consolation for the 1 time out of 10 it can work against you.
