England to win world cup now 4/1 with some bookies. This for a team that has failed to score in open play against any credible competition (ie Belgium and Columbia). I think people are rather getting ahead of themselves.

It's quite possible they* might make it to the final and then have the floor wiped with them by France or Brazil.

You of all people should know it has nothing to do with 'form', just to do with the volume of bets. If 'form' were really that good a predictor then more than 1/3 of favourites in horse races would win.

@Karonher i do these both most weeks. I have always been able to do these no probs. I tend to wait until half time. Sometimes aren’t always the closest matches if there’s been a few goals scored by half time but I can usually manage 5 decent matches per week

What sport are you betting on? There is not really any big football games until tomorrow, so I guess it is just small minor league games that is available to bet on so lack of money in the exchange.

It's quite possible that anybody could get to the final and suffer the same fate. The odds are there because England have a perceived easier route to the final, and in the final it's anybody's game. That and as mentioned above 'home nation bias' will drive down the price.

I personally don't think you can take much from the Belgium or Columbia game. One was a game of B teams not wanting to score, and the other was never given a chance to get going due to the constant stop-starting. We've not really seen what England can do against a decent team.

I do think Sweden will be tough though, and i'd be half tempted to have a small stake on them in the outright market.

Typically the advice is to treat as 'advantage play' i.e. pick something with a good chance of coming off and if it does you have a small profit and if not you are only £1 down. Over time if you pick low odds ones you will probably be ok. Sometimes you can get Winner and BTTS on betyourway which does have a chance of being laid, but generally people are punting these.

They are playing to 3 sets, first to 3 wins. If you player goes 2-0 then that's the 2up. To win a set you need 6 game points and to win a game you need to win 4 points. It goes, 15, 30, 40, match point.

The best thing to do is just watch a game or two and how it's scored but you can see why the games can end up going on a while.

It's more likely to hit in tennis but you need to be aware that bookies rules and exchange rules differ so you can end up losing both sides. For ease, paddy power is the same so that's simple.

If you are on OM and use the dutch matcher you can get quite a few matches for B365 as well (just filter to the bookies that use Match Completed as well). A lot of the time you can also get a Dutch that includes the bookies that have the If you lose/win the first set and then win/lose offers.
