The reason you're making £1.50-2.00 from The Pools welcome offer is that it's a £5 free bet if your first bet loses.
Place your first bet as Stake Not Returned (SNR), if it wins then you're finished.
If your first bet loses, you get a £5 free bet - again to be used as SNR.
So, you're losing a little from a 2-stage welcome offer rather than a simple bet X get Y free bet where you'd be expected to make £3.75 to £4.00 from a £5 free bet.
Ah so i shouldn't of put normal in the first calculator? Sorry just trying to get the hang of it. Had better profit with moplay (well after tomorrow)
You need a hefty bankroll to begin with.
Is it better to use matchbook / smarkets with 0% commission most the time?

Hi all, beginners query here.
I'm using the oddsmatching tool on pa to place my first free bet with coral but struggling to find something that will give the best return without having to put too much into the exchange account for liability. Do I need to accept that I need to put in £200+ to the exchange to make £15-£17 from the free bet?
Thanks

Think I've just found a good one for today Liverpool v Bournemouth 7.5 back odds vs 8.6 lay with 133 liability. Ignore post above, I'm a rookie.
Thanks all

That’s extremely high odds for a free bet. I would stay around the 4.0-6.0 mark in future

Hiya Guys..Need a little help with a acca I have just set up, this was the Betfiar offer from yesterday, I've set it up but I forgot to change the Back Stake to £5 form £10, So I place the Free £5 treble on Betfair OK, but as the back stake was set at £10, I lay at Smarks but this was slightly higher than it should have been...So the question is can I do anything about it now it's running, or is there nothing I can do now....

Thanks for your help..MAX

Sorry me again...In fact I have just checked and I had left the acca set up as a £10 Qualifier and not the £5 Free Bet which it was..!!! So my Lay bet was £9.33 and the Liability £5.13...It should have been set as a Free £5 bet..Lay bet should be £3.45 and Liability of £1.90...Hope this is not sounding as mad as it does to me...Think I should have gone out today for a long walk...

Any help or info most appreciated....MAX

Hi, @MAX POWER - might be best to leave the original acca if you have just done it as a normal £10 one and to do the free bet one again. You should only have a small qualifying loss and can just treat it as a 'mug' bet instead.

You can always ask on PA if you need a quicker reply - tag support or whatever and give them the bet amount, bet odds and lay odds and amounts done (or take a screenprint of the acca calculator and post it if it is not in your tracker etc.)

If it is the Scotland one, I think you have until Mon or Tues to complete it :)

Hi, it's a refund if your first £10 bet loses at at The Pools. So you need to underlay your first £10 bet, which would leave two possible outcomes: 1) your first £10 bet wins = offer finished, or 2) your first £10 bet loses and you get a £5 free bet (to use as Stake Not Returned).
