Hey,

Sorry to see you been gubbed by MoPlay. There's not really any hard and fast rules when it comes to why you get gubbed. I personally just try my best to look like a mug punter, so basically don't bet on anything too obscure like a League 1 Polish football match, don't take every single low value offer under the sun, etc. It's just about common sense really and I don't really do that much mug betting either to be honest. As far as value is concerned, yeah there's tons of value still available in matched betting :)

How unearth do you keep your accounts with not much mug better?

I would have thought you are just seen as a bonus hunter if the only time you return to a bookie is to take advantage of an offer

Dunno....I did the whole mug betting thing to begin with because thats what everyone says to do, but as I've gone on I just haven't bothered and still have most of my big accounts. Most of the really big matched bettors I know don't bother too much with mug betting. Like I say, I don't jump on every single offer I see, so maybe I inadvertently look like a mug punter. Like I always do normal horse racing bets (hoping for BOGs) and the high profile football offers for the Paddy Power Free Bet Club, that could make me look like a normal punter, I don't know???

One reason people may not get gubbed for simply taking offers is that the bookies potential liability is not too high. So if you're doing low odds qualifying bets and lowish odds free bets - they can't lose much from you.

On the question of arbing and odds: the bookies have bots to benchmark prices to the exchange and Oddschecker to compare. THE BIGGEST gubbing contributor is betting on horse racing 'steamers'. Why? Because you're following "smart money" (informed individuals in a particular market) and likely to beat the Starting Price, so you're an unnecessary risk.

Just in case you haven't seen it there's another £50/£25 free bet offer with Bet365 tonight on the Liverpool game!

I swear if Bonanza didn't have such a good predetermined bonus round no one would play that bloody slot! It's totally mindnumbing!

So I love horse refund offers.

I do them every Saturday for ITV racing and in a 'job' that is nothing but boring boring math with no emotion they allow me to feel as though I care about the result of the race!

However, I was just taking a look around the PA forum site and I came across this thread

Bet365 do their 4/1 offer everyday on 2 feature races and every ITV racing day on multiple races.
There is a way you can profit on
every single one of these races, regardless of the result!

In 4+ years of doing this, I never realized there was a guaranteed method to make money off every one of the bet365 races (+betfair 3/1 offer) using the bonus lock in calculator!

I knew about these, but don’t really do it cos I’m terrified of being gubbed by Bet365. I think I’d cry if I had my £50 in play bets taken away from me

I suppose you could do this on the betfair sportsbook account if you didn't want to risk bet365
