If you have all your bookmaker accounts intact and are willing to do casino offers then it is possible. Some people on oddsmonkey say they are clearing £1000 a month with high risk casino offers but when they've posted their profit graph it is like a scary looking roller coaster.

If you are going for £1000 a month just on matched betting then that is a challenging target to have. You would have to get on every single offer and place big bets, which may be hard to sustain.

My average is more in the region of £400 now but I have lost most of the big bookies and only do low risk casino.
Hi @homie & @jkg-jkg
Many thanks for the info and advice, I've only lost 2 sites at the mo and think I need to move onto the casino stuff....Need to be a getting on the gas a little more, I'm waiting to go into hospital in next 3 months and need to be up and running for then...
Thanks again for your help....MAX

I’m doing my first 2-up on 365. Got Everton who are now 2up. Layed with Betfair. At what point do I cash out??

This is a difficult one as it is really personal preference. Normally you would expect a team like Man U to come back so leaving it a while is tempting.

My personal strategy is to cash out immediately to the tune of your original stake and then see how it pans out for the rest - cashing out your original stake is placing a back bet the same as your original stake on Everton.

placing a back bet on bookie or exchange? Sorry if that’s a daft question!!
If Man U come back and score 3 now, I’m assuming the cash out profit bit on Betfair will turn green? I have tried 2-up a few times but never been in this position before, hence me being a bit clueless!

Yes - the blue numbers (currently 1.18) - if you had bet £100 on Everton to win you would be guaranteeing £18 - you then take £100 out of your profit but still make £200 ish if Man U come back

Not sure on that one, but if Man U come back with 3 goals then you don't cash out and let it ride and win both bets (same if Man U come back to draw too)

EDIT - academic now as Everton are 3-0 - why I usually cash out some.

Interesting talk about cashing out on 2up. I back, lay and hope everytime. I Whack on loads of matches and hope for the best, otherwise it feels like a Job monitoring each match.

I watch most of the matches I do 2Up on anyway, so easy for me to cash out. Over time the partial cashout option has made me more money than if I went the other two routes.

Is cashing out a lay bet worth it. I would have thought that by 2 - 0 it would be really small. Is it likely to affect you using the site?

You don't actually cash out at Bet365 and I think that would void the offer if you did. You would place a back bet on the exchange, or possibly another bookmaker site, but exchanges usually have the best odds.

You are correct about the odds being small, but it can depend on the teams and the time of the goals. An underdog scoring 2 early goals would be a good opportunity to cash out. Whereas Man City scoring twice in the second half against a weaker side would probably make cashing out pointless. In fact I would avoid backing heavy favourites for 2ups for that reason if you are hoping to cash out.

Yesterday, Everton (as the relative underdogs) were 1.25 at the time they scored the second goal. So if you had originally backed Everton @ £100, you would have made £25 if you had backed Everton £100 at that point and would have still got £225 if Man U came back (or you could have cashed out for £65 by backing them for £260)

There is nowhere to go. The odds are much too low for any profit. If Hull come back then there may be some profit.

You do need to read up on an offer BEFORE placing any bets (this is a direct line to losses). 2UP only works if you are not watching (or keeping a v close eye on) the match if the other team comes back. To do a cash out (or partial) you need to be keeping an v close eye on the match.

I have an app on my mobile that I use to keep track of whats happening in a match. Useful for monitoring 2ups and inplay offers if you cant watch the match. Its called Goal Live although I think there are probably other similar ones too.

I have to admit I don't understand this. Surely if I had backed them originally I would have got the odds I backed them at. How would I have got £65 cashout by backing for £260.

Is the only way to make money by placing such big bets?
