Nope. I've ever been ungubbed from any bookmaker. I think throwing more money at them in the hope they reinstate all your offers is a false economy.

Some people say Coral and Ladbrokes will give you back offers quite quickly, but I never had any luck with them. Most will say on the email they send you that the decision won't be reversed, and they generally make you feel like pond scum if you ever try to question it or ask nicely.
That means you tried ungubbing your accounts on Coral and Ladbrokes before? I am gubbed on Coral but not on Ladbrokes. I make good use of it by using the free bets they give me occasionally on accas. Some people say there are some ways you can make money on gub accounts. Do you know what ways I can make money and how on gubbed bookmaker and exchange accounts? For gubbed accounts, that means I am not eligible for casino, bingo, vegas and ANY promotions anymore?

Only by arbing, that is finding odds on the exchanges that are lower than the bookmaker and backing on bookie and laying off at the lower price on the exchange. Trouble is if you keep doing that they will restrict how much you can bet so it becomes impossible to get more than £1 or £2 on.

I suppose you could try dutching football or tennis but it is hard to find anything that will give a profit.

So generally once I have an account gubbed, I arb to make profits and once the bookmaker restricts my stake, I can still make profit by arbing but only make low profit such as £1 or £2?

If most or almost all my bookmaker accounts are gubbed, can I still make good profit like £300 and more a month? Is it still worth subscribing to a paid match betting service?

Most gubbed accounts still let you do extra places on the horses/ golf etc

I never done extra places. Is it easy to do and learn how to do extra places offers?

Have a watch at some of the training videos, they should explain it. Once you do a few they are easy enough, some good returns but QL could be a bit high but just do what you’re comfortable with. Have a look at the extra place catcher.

Before the days of matched betting to take money from the bookies there was the Yellow Sam Betting Coup

Somehow, I don't think that would work these days.
" It was for this reason that Yellow Sam was to race at Bellewstown specifically, as the track was serviced by just two telephone lines, one public telephone box and a private telephone line belonging to the Extel company which supplied racing data to betting shops. The Extel line was put out of use [probably cut] early in the day leaving just one telephone line available to communicate to the course bookies who determined the starting prices for the participants. You’re best to open the extra place catcher and have a look at the potential profit and the QL’s. It all varies on the odds and what you’re willing to lose.

Grrrr - logged in to Smarkets and they are asking for 'additional verification' of my occupation and average yearly income!

I presume this is because I've just had to change my card with them - stupid Tesco sending out new cards with different numbers, despite having another 2 years before expiry!

What happens if you don't work and are on a low budget? I don't mind the occupation question but not the financial one?
I've got a bit of money in there so can hopefully still do lay bets today if they allow that, but can not deposit anymore until it is sorted.

@Jon Do I just submit my best guess and keep fingers crossed? Thanks

Sounds like they are asking for proof of funds

I would ask them what you can do when you are in your position

Previous SE Tax returns maybe?

Don't do tax forms as only did 1 year of surveys etc. enough to need one - no longer need to submit them as way under the limit

They are asking loads of people today, don't worry about it to much.
I put match better as occupation. To get the 0% commission you literally have to do an integration bet from a match betting company (oddsmonkey for me), meaning smarkets are making partnerships with match betting service providers . Just covering there backs with this.

What a shambles with Smarkets this evening. What did everyone end up doing.

Had to use Betfair and Matchbook both having small bankroll in them. Matchbooks odds appear and disappear in the blink of an eye.
