Having read the forum thread, I'm now quite excited about the Cheltenham offers, just a little apprehensive because I seldom bet on horse racing and wonder whether it will look obvious

I'm sure bookies expect regular punters to bet a bit more than usual around promoted offers - so wouldn't worry about it.

My free Coral £10 bet from the slot promotion has hit my account at least.

haha... I like the two contrasting bits of advice I got on this page. I think I'll try and be somewhere in between. My nature is to tread cautiously as it sounds like bookies are really keeping an eye out for matched betting, but I want to try and take advantage of a few offers. I work FT so probably a bit limited to what I can do just down to amount of time I can spend on it this week anyway.

Does anyone actually use Smar***s once they've done the offer? I'm thinking of just leaving it altogether or would that be foolish further down the line?

Same as [member=2600]Flexit[/member] - Smarkets is my go-to Exchange. I always have money either in Betfair or set aside for it though just in case it doesn't have the particular market I need, the fluidity of funds, or on the odd occasion, Smarkets farts due if too many people are hammering it at once (Saturday's can be a bit moody with both racing and footie happening at once).

2% Commission vs 5% is just too appealing to me - plus I always mug a QPR game or two as well (0% commission)

Same here, although I've found BF can quite often be better with horses due to more money in the exchange. I'll use both this week and hopefully not end up with too much money in bookie accounts!

As I'm off on my holidays I've just withdrawn from all bookies and exchanges.

No cheltenham for me but beer, food and fun with the family.

So decided to stop doing signing up offers for a few days and thought I'd take advantage of Cheltenham. I've had an offer come from which requires you to place bets on 7 of the Cheltenham races tomz to get a 10 free bet. I need to bet min 10. It states I can do each way so would I just lay this of as normal? Figure if I did each way I could at least maybe make a small profit from the bookie hopefully whilst the bet is covered with the lay. Is this possible?

Just seen a new £10 FB on the beginners offers. Thought I would mention it as some of you might not check that section anymore.

Anyone use Matchbook exchange?
I find it comes up allot on the Oddsmatcher. 1.15% Commission so not too bad though I think you pay that on winning and losing bets.
I have been using it quite a bit lately.

Just checked my emails, last few hours I've had loads of Cheltenham offers come in! My WillHill bets have been credited (£10 Tuesday and £10 Wednesday), 25% refund on net losses on BF Exchange (up to £50), only useful if I keep winning into bookies but will soften the blow a bit, £10 free on 32Red. No idea how I'm going to get all these bets placed tomorrow morning.

I can't cope with the emails and notifications already, it hasn't even started!

Just done my last offer before Cheltenham, the 5 free spins on Cat Queen won me £2.50, then wagered £10 on santa surprise and lost around £7, only my second to last free spin from the 10 free spins I hit a bonus round and won £15, ended up about £8 up after both parts of the offer.

Just logged in and checked Coral for tomorrow and found 2 free bets, the bonus bank offer for wagering each saturday for 4 weeks, and an additional Cheltenham good will bet :) Also got confirmation of my WH free bets so that should be another £10 for tomorrow and tuesday.

Thanks for the heads up, did the 5 free spins on Cat Queen and this from my first spin:
