YES, FLASH FIRE!

Just hit the extra place on the 17:10 Newmarket.....£80 profit!!

Only got on that at the very last minute as it popped up on EW matcher…was going to be a 47p profit so I thought I might as well.

;D ;D ;D

Honestly I can not big up [member=3587]OddsMonkey[/member]'s Each Way matcher enough....

That is great - I tried it today on couple of horses and ended up about £1.50 down - but sure my time will come!

Hmm - wonder if this will get a gubbing.

Place win bet pre Euro 2016 for France to Win and just with same bookmakers placed a bet for Portugal to win (as part of a double) - had forgotten I'd done the win with same bookies!

[member=2823]katbythesea[/member] Keep having a play with it with small stakes and on lower odds, just until you get hold of how to do it. You have to move fast because you need to get two lay bets on and the odds can move so quickly can't they lol.

My first week I took it steady so I could get my head around it...today I did 18 EW bets which gave me £131.85 profit. Obviously £80 of that is from hitting the Extra Place but even without that I'd be on a £50+ profit for today.

I wouldn't worry about that! Especially as the Portugal bet is part of a double...plus you placed them so far apart in time that I guess it'd look muggy to have followed the tournament and changed your mind about who will win.

Has anyone tried using it with the "cover the field" technique yet? We have a guide on "covering the field" and a spreadsheet to run it off of too. To give you an example - the last race that it was applicable for (it's used when a number of bookies run an extra place on a big race) it generated a min profit of £34 and maximum profit of £386 (the variance depending on the outcome).

Check it out :)

Not yet, but I'm all over it next Saturday ;D

Newbie here. Hello :) hope I'm posting this in the right place?

I'm hoping to give the MB trial a go with Profit Accumulator in the next week and see Coral being mentioned on here.

I have an online account with Gala Bingo. Are they part of the same group, and if so does this mean I won't be able to participate in the Free bet?

Thanks

Thanks [member=3587]OddsMonkey[/member] , I'll have to have a go, either when my PA year is up or when I'm feeling flush enough to justify running the both concurrently!

[member=2431]Uhhhhh[/member] Do you lock in profit on the EWs or are they like refunds where you have to hit the place? I presume you're doing them on races where the bookies are paying out to extra places where it overlaps the exchanges? I haven't done it but I remember reading up on it before Chelt/GN.

Think I'll be taking a quiet month, save from a few mugs and the occasional horse to keep building my profile on them, until the Premiership starts.

[member=2607]stonecrows[/member] You can lock in profit by putting on EW bets where the place part is an arb (but not the 'win' part). If I'm doing a place arb I do it on my gubbed or low value accounts only - apparently having an arb with your place bet is okay, but I still only do it on gubbed accounts and it's a nice little earner on those accounts that are otherwise useless to me. You can set your arb rating to whatever you want to ensure that you're not doing an arb on the win part of your back bet. Also, another good thing is that even on gubbed accounts you can often get 'Best Odds Guaranteed' so it's happened to me a number of times that I've done an EW arb for something like £1.20 profit and then I've got £15 or so extra from BOG.

I think the best part is how easy and useful it is for extra-place races - so, like you said, it is basically when there's an 'overlap' between the bookies and exchange and if your horse finishes in the extra place spot then you get the winnings at both the bookies and the exchange. That is what happened to me today - the bookies was paying on 5 places and the exchange was on 4 places, my horse came fifth and so I got winnings from the bookies and from the exchange. This is the third time it's happened to me since I started with Oddsmonkey in May - today was £80 and last month I got a £180 win from getting an extra place. You can generally cover quite a few horses with no qualifying loss, or even at a profit and it takes me about 60 seconds to find and place my bets as it's all in the calculator for you once you click on the match.

For horse refunds, they have a Racing Matcher (which is like PA's 'Match Catcher' except that in my experience it's more reliable and better organised - they have a specific link to click for every race at every bookies that have an offer for that day and it pops up with the list of matches so you don't have to set the filters yourself....and it's included in the monthly price), so you can use that for refund offers, but I sometimes do them Each-Way using the EW matcher anyway.

IMO it's well worth signing up for a month so you can 'have a go' and see what they offer, then you can just cancel it before they take your fee for the second month. I have my link in my signature should you fancy a whirrrrrl.

Thanks for the detailed explanation, @uhhhhh. So I might not flounce off from my gubbed bookies just yet. It sounds good, definitely something to be looking into. I especially like the idea of sticking it to bookies who have gubbed me, haha!

I got a BOG with Sky the other day, it was only small but turned a £5 fb into £14. Nice surprise when you log in, it must be great to get it with higher amounts!

[member=4097]Darksideofthemoon[/member] Welcome ;D

You'll be fine to do the Coral offer as they operate separately. Already having an account with Gala Bingo just means that you won't be able to do the offer that it linked to opening a new account with them (...which I haven't done myself, but I assume there is one!).

[member=2607]stonecrows[/member] I know, I think that's my favourite part ;D "Screw you Paddy....teach you for gubbing me!" feels pretty good actually!

I love it when you log in and get an unexpected BOG...there was one last month I got where the SP almost doubled from where I placed my bet and the horse placed so I got something like £40 extra just for BOG. I worked out that if the horse had won then I would've got something like £180 BOG. Crackers. Don't think that will happen again anytime soon haha.

Been given a free £10 bet to use on the Euro final today - but it has been credited to my account rather than flagged as a free bet (but not able to withdraw) - assume I do this as SNR when calculating?

[member=3587]OddsMonkey[/member] I get you, but since I'm on a yearly I'd either have to wait for it to end or run the two alongside; assuming I liked OM enough to keep it on. But it's good to know I can try it out and ask for a refund if I don't like it. The tools do sound good.

[member=2823]katbythesea[/member] Which bookies is it? If it's 188 it seems to be a cash bonus so apparently the lay should be calcluated as 'normal', but you'll have to wager it twice if it wins.

Can we please stay away from constant self-promotion. It is fine to recommend your own links, ventures etc here on the shed, however, when the majority of your posts are just on getting someone to sign up/visit your website it is a bit much and can be off putting for other members who want to contribute to the post.

You can put links in your signature and through natural conversation you can suggest things. I don't want to have to start editing this thread but I will if it continues to just be seemingly self-promotion.

Katykicker, I hope this will apply to all posters. I have no interest in any of the various options but as a 'dabbler' I find it ironic that this has only come up when its not PA being talked about as it usually is constantly. Really this thread has moved from discussion to a few posters some of whom when asked for help by others don't want to know or just put up the link for PA. Not everyone wants to move onto slots as so much of the posting on here is about.

Have tons of free bets unlaid on France tonight too.... plus Griezemann for Top goalscorer £50 @9.0 unlaid also which looks a cert now...unless Ronaldo goes on a spree.... Plus Andy Murray should get me £80!

I think [member=2023]fynsgran[/member] has a point. It's healthy to discuss other options/services as long as it's useful. It's only spam really people don't want to see.

There is nothing ironic about it, I'm simply doing what was asked of me, by Jon, before he went away. Slots are posted about frequently because for some people they are the majority of the offers. I personally do 80-90% slot offers so those are the ones I can really help with. Similarly, PA is frequently talked about as it is the service the majority of members here use. There is no problem to talk about other services, that I've been told of, however, if someone is telling a member about a service, and then telling them again, and again, it is just into the reals of self-promotion.

I'm not going to take this off topic by getting into a debate about what goes on in other topics, if you feel that something else is going off topic, or there is a problem, please do report the thread and I'll happily take a look. Alternatively please send me a PM, which will remain anonymous between yourself and myself.

Just to clarify, other services can be mentioned here, as we are quite a loose forum without too many rules, however, if members feel that they are being targeted repeatedly about the same services then I will moderate. Self promotion, without contributing much else to the forum, won't be tolerated. People are here to make money, and find money making opportunities so if you want to share your opportunities please ensure that you are engaging with the community that we have built here.
