Re: Discussion about matched betting

How are you making money from this site? Is it just from the sign up / monthly membership costs? Have you sold much of that so far?

there is no carrot being dangled to get me to sign up

what about offering 30 days free membership to the big boy level membership

Yeah just from membership costs. Plus I do my own matched betting on the side. We just launched and have about 30 members with 1 premium.

The starter package is the same level of quality as premium. It's just that the premium package offers more with more bookie offers, casino offers and weekly offers and forum support.

If you just wanna try it out theres no harm just doing it for free no obligation. Plus I would actually really appreciate your feedback on the content I have available for free. It would be very valuable from someone who hasn't tried it.

Re: Discussion about matched betting

When I dabbled, I found that the free guides and stake calculators were sufficient for my needs, but I can imagine that some people would be less confident using these without making a costly mistake. I am not sure if the paid sites make it any easier or just contain the same info as the free ones?

You can certainly make a few quid matched betting, but the rate of return diminishes once you have worked through the initial sign-up bonuses.

Yeah we don't simply list out the offers as that would be unfair to charge people for that. We have guides and we also provide info on casino offers (which are very profitable). Our main selling point is the support really.

Yeah i think that a lot of people hit a hurdle as they think they can't earn more once they sign up. There are loads of offers the bookies do weekly. Like during he Cheltenham week I earned around £200.

your site tells me I can earn £500 profit if I sign up and pay you £15 a month

that's probably why people think that

How come you've not gone down the affiliate route?

I believe that is too saturated and I do not really like the idea of leading people into gambling. It is a losers game and I wouldn't feel right about. I feel happy knowing that the guides we write are actually helping people earn money.

Re: Discussion about matched betting

Other than the free bets (which you can do yourself with free internet guides) what else is offered with the Free Membership? I would expect to make money with the free membership (in a different way to the way I am already with free bets) before I would consider paying for any of the other memberships.

You probably think we are being overly critical of your site but in reality you have come to the right place

This isn't Facebook etc where people will just wooo and like everything you say - Your getting some great feedback about where to make improvements of your site to increase the number of paid members you get to sign up

Sometimes the best thing you can do is let other people take a look at your site and listen to the feedback you get

The site is for newbies and experienced people who don't have time to look for profitable offers. like I've said and the free membership shows people that matched betting does actually work. The free membership gives you written guides, video, spreadsheet and full support.

If you want to go premium then you would be paying for more bookie guides, casino guides, and the odd loophole if we find any.

No I fully appreciate the feedback! That was the whole point of the thread. It's a great discussion. Only thing is that I would like people to actually see the content.

Re: Discussion about matched betting

I've signed up to the free version.

I think the spreadsheet is fine but I think a trial for a month or even a couple of weeks would be useful to see how else money can be made from betting. Any plans to offer this?

Yeah that is possible, I will discuss with my partners. What do you think of the content and guides?

I think the content is basic and the guides are similar to what is already available for free. The guides are similar to each so once you've done a few the rest are easy to follow.

I would like to know more about the weekly reloads. Are these promotions that some of the bookies run?

Alright thanks for feedback. The reloads are offers bookies give out weekly. These range from free bets given out weekly to casino offers (slots, roulette) which you can make profit from.

Re: Discussion about matched betting

After reading this thread, I am a new beginner to match betting. I have gathered free resources from elsewhere and stand to make £24 profit from the Burnley vs Arsenal game on Saturday. This is from joining just Betfair alone and using their sportsbook/exchange to attain £30 in free bets.

However, I am slightly sceptical as to how you can sustain £500-£1000 per month once you run out of offers. I will sign up to your website this weekend but I agree with comments prior that it would take something like a free month subscription to your premium offering before even thinking of taking up the paid service.

One thing you could continually take advantage of is the Skybet £5 club. However, this would only garner profit of approx. £3.50-£4.00 a week (upto £200 a year) - which I'm sure nobody will begrudge on this forum.

If anyone has concerns about matched betting, it is legal and should be NON-RISK (as long as you don't screw up calculations :) Supossedly, joining betting sites DOES NOT affect credit rating. It is a myth (unless anyone has real life anecdotes that say otherwise). I would not suggest using your credit card though as you will get hit with interest fees.

If you're smart and disciplined you could and pay back the principal borrowed before interest is applied. Additionally, you could earn from cashback if your card has this benefit. :)

Hi! There are loads of offers you can use to sustain profits, you just have to look for them and quickly use them before they end. Like this week it's the Grand National and there are some great promotions.

It is quite tiresome searching for profitable offers. Our service makes it easier for you, we look through these promotions and actually write guides rather than just list them out. I think this is very important because not every promotion is the same. Therefore you shouldn't just list them out as not everyone may know how to make profit from them.

Also an important part of sustaining profit, is doing casino/bingo offers. There are some great offers we guide you through as well.

Thanks for your interest in the site. I think the free trial is a great idea and we are looking to implement this!

P.S Yes I agree NEVER use credit cards for betting sites (or if you have to make sure you pay off debt quickly). Also never use money you don't need urgently as this is more like an investment, when you start off it is important to let your bank grow rather than making withdrawals. It allows you to make money faster.

Re: Discussion about matched betting

I remember doing this a few years ago and thought, where's the catch? I think on average there's between £700 - £1100 in the free bets marketplace.

In a nutshell you're playing Betfair the betting exchange (enabling you to lay or bet against the outcome) against Ladbrokes, Coral, William Hill .................... the bookie (back the outcome) and lock in some risk free profit.
