Gubbed by Bet Victor, which is annoying as I've been mugging the hell out them (and losing a lot of the bets) lately.

Ah well.

I've done 16 bets with them in total (joined in November) and won 6 of those, all on big football matches and 3 horse races last week (1 free bet on the second favourite at 4.3 which won in a dead heat so I didn't get 'full' winnings anyway, and 2 mugs). Had a £21 win on free spins a couple of weeks ago, but other than that I haven't done/won on any slot offers either.

The gubbing email has 'BONUS EXCLUDED' in the title line. Just to hammer it home ;D

I've got a question about accas. I'm playing with the spreadsheet (multi lay extra) and have selected £10 free bet, fivefold. I've then put in 5 made up bets, all around the 1.5-2.0 mark, all with close but slightly higher odds, eg back 1.5 lay 1.55. It says that I'll get £7.52 from a £10 free bet, regardless of how far along the acca goes before I hit a Lose. But I don't understand how that can be, with such low odds. So even if my first bet in the acca loses, that would mean that I don't lay the rest, correct? So from the first bet, I've made that kind of money with odds of 1.xx.

I'm confused. If that's right, it's great because it looks more muggy than trying to get a decent profit out of a FB by putting it on odds of 6 or 7, but I just don't see how it works. Is it because of the higher lay stake than usual? Is that overlaying?

The other thing is, in multi lay extra, it doesn't seem to show you what your liability will be for each lay - I don't have that much in the exchange (or as my bank as a whole) so should I just use small FBs until I've got more flexibility in the exchange?

The murky waters of accas are starting to be a little clearer... but still confusing.

I'm glad the waters are clearing for you there still murky my end lol What happens if the first two bets win but the lay odds have changed for the worse on the third wont that change everything?

Oh I haven't delved into the concept of changing odds yet, that is indeed something to worry about. My guess is that if we stick to quite low odds they won't change too much, but I don't know really. Will be interested to see what replies you get to that.

Just joined PA.

Of the two 'free bets' I have, one I'm already a member of. So I really can only do 1 free bet. Thats a shame. I thought it would give you the recommendation of another bookies to try.

It does look like I have a £5 free bet with BF on the sportsbook. The only rule I can see is 'To use your free bet token, add a selection to your betslip that meets the terms and conditions of the offer. Free bet tokens can only be used on selections with odds of 1/5 (1.2) or greater. ' So the big question is - what should I use it for? I have 6 days left to claim it but it looks like this is on their SB and not the exchange so I can't use it to lay off another bet.

I have about £50 still at BF available so I could do another bet but I'd need to sign up at another bookies. And I have a Mac, whats the best spreadsheet to track what is going on?

It's because it looks at the odds for the complete acca so it is overlaying (by a lessening amount) each of the legs until the final leg. I would suggest doing double or treble at odds of 3 - 5. With fair matches you should be able to get well over 80%. The liability for each leg is in the Back Wins column.

Did my first coral bet and spin yesterday. Have received a £5 bonus. What is the wagering requirements? Any games with high RTP you regular bet and spin winners use? [emoji23]

X10 on bet and spin

If you're on the desktop site you can click 'my balance' and a pop up will show you the bonuses you have and how much left you have to wager

I know the answer to this is obvious, but I don't want to bet at the bookies, then realise I don't have enough to lay. I'm not sure if it would tell me before I press place bet... Also it's a horse, so I know the odds can change fast so I won't have time to be depositing more..

On the PA calculator, If my liability is £68.34 and lay stake is £22.78, do I need £68.34 or £91.12 in my Betfair account? Thanks!

On betfair click 'view full market' and you can see how much is there under the lay odds. You need to have more than your STAKE for the bet to match.

In your betfair account you need to have more than the LIABILITY as that's what'll be deducted and kept if your bet wins at bookies. If the bet loses you get credited the LIABILITY back and win as profit the STAKE.

Always check lay stake and liability, money in market and money in betfair account before placing bet at bookies so you don't get caught short

With fair matches you should be able to get well over 80%. The liability for each leg is in the Back Wins column.

The total odds of an acca is the odds of each leg MULTIPLIED. So if you have a 5-fold the total odds will be around 7 to get that profit.

As soon as a bet loses you have all your profit in the exchange so stop laying yes. You're done :)

I've stuck to 2 legs football odds around 2-4 and only a couple of times have I had to lay second leg. So isn't much more work than a single and like you say looks ++++muggy

Also the liability (last column) increases a lot the more legs you have so a) fewer legs -> less liability needed and b) always make sure you have enough liability to cover it if it gets to the final leg

What's so awesome is the lay stakes are designed so you get the same profit/loss regardless of where you lose on the acca. Love it!

Sign up to Smarkets. 2% commission compared to betfair's 5% so you make more profit. You can use £5 free bet at betfair sportsbook and lay it off at Smarkets for £4ish profit.

Or have a pop unlaid if you fancy.

I also have a Mac; Ultimatcher won't work.

PM me your email and I'll send you a copy of my spreadsheet I've designed to work on Mac and Google Docs. Soon to be hosted on my site ... Target for end of month!

My aspiration is a beautiful 27 inch iMac. Seen it today. £650 earned... £1000 to go!

Looking quickly at my BV account, it looks as though we signed up at about the same time.

I have done the following:

16 Bets
0 Horses which is unusual for me
£17 average bet, there is a £1 one that dragged the average down.
16 Football all big teams and various 1 x 2 outcomes
3.64 average odds
1 Arb at 103%
0 Slots

Have you tried to use the account to see if you are completely Gubbed or just a partial?
