If I'm home alone and want some pasta, I'll either ring Just Eat or get a ding meal out of the freezer. Ain't nobody got time for sorting all of those toppings in this heat ;)

Pasta on it's own on that plate with NOTHING on it looks well boring!

Well if that was subliminal advertising by the pasta marketing board then it worked because now I want pasta for dinner tonight.

Hello.

I have Prolific Assistant on my PC for Chrome and Firefox although thats super temperamental. It hardly ever flags anything up and when it does, I click on the study and its full straight away so must be a delay.

Anyone know of an app/program that provides survey alerts for Android to download to my mobile? I have a Samsung S20. Would be really handy to get any alerts that way as always by my phone and not so much my PC. I found an old thread on another forum that mentioned such an app but can't locate it in GooglePlay so assume it no longer exists. Any ideas? Thank you.

Honestly I just check it periodically throughout the day for prolific but I'm not sure if there is something available for other survey sites.

I had a nosy at prolific's blog a while ago and it seems that the more surveys you do the less you are invited to. Their algorithm prevents surveys being filled up by 'professional survey takers' so their clients get more realistic and reliable data. So if you've done quite a few surveys you will only be invited if they're struggling to fill spaces or looking for a very specific demographic.

Its great if you're running the surveys but not so great for us (especially seeing as they're one of the better paying sites) . I find after a week or 2 of not getting much/anything it picks up again until I do a lot and it dies down again.

I find the best way to maximise earnings is to join a few different ones and use them all regularly.

Thank you for your reply.

I used to do a lot of surveys but stopped a few years back. Now I have a 2nd baby on the way and am looking to move house so keen to get back involved again. Besides Prolific which other survey sites are my best options? Higher paying sites etc.

Honestly I'm probably not the best person to advise you on that but Pinecone research are great. They pay £3 per survey but are very selective about who they let join. I got kicked off because I was inactive for a few months so if you get in make sure to do the surveys or I think you can put your account into holiday mode if you won't be available.

I also use Qmee and Curious Cat mobile apps. They're not the best paying but they have alot of surveys and no cashout limit. They also pay instantly into PayPal so it's great if you need money quickly.

Opinion outpost and Lifepoints (used to be called MySurvey) are also quite good. They usually have alot of surveys which are updated regularly. I've had a few products to test through them. They only pay for the surveys you complete at the start and end but it's something a bit more interesting. I also find Panelbase to be reliable and reasonably well paid compared with others, but I haven't really used it much recently. Between prolific, qmee, curious cat, opinion outpost and lifepoints I usually make around £100 a month, but I also work full time and have 2 young kids so I don't dedicate too much time to it.

You might have more luck with task apps such as roamler, bemyeye, streetbees etc. These tend to pay more for your time and generally involves going into shops and taking pictures of displays or certain products. I've downloaded a few but haven't done any tasks yet.

If you find the alert is going off but you aren't then seeing a survey it may be you need to look at how often the plugin is refreshing and reduce the time as much as you can

Thank you. The lowest number it will let me set it too is 60. Is this right? I can go higher than 60 but not lower. Assume 60 is every 60 seconds and not every 60 mins?

Is anybody else doing the Mood and Decision Making study? Basically every day we get a 15 minute music clip to listen to and then rate our mood after.

· For undertaking the 15-minute activity, you will be paid £2 per session for the first week, and £2.50 per session for the second week.

· For the post-course survey (approximately 35 minutes) you will receive £3 for completion, up to £3.30 more in bonus payments, and in addition be entered into two lotteries.

· The lotteries give you a 1 in 10 chance to win £50 and a 1 in 10 chance to win £5.

It's been great so far!

Not done that but sounds like a great deal as it's so often!

Noticed quite a few more of those these days where one quick 'screener' for 80p or whatever leads to a higher paying study a day or two later

You don't half get some funny studies on Prolific. I had one just now that was all about music, music, more music, extra music and then at the end HOW HAS COVID-19 CHANGED YOUR LIFE RECENTLY

Yes you can BUT, if you both qualify for the same study, then the first person can do it, but if the second person also tries, then it won't let them. From their FAQ:

Multiple accounts per household are allowed but in order to avoid duplicate participants in a study, we have a mechanism in place that allows only one person per household to take part in a particular study. Please keep in mind that a household is anyone sharing an IP address with you. This is at home, your workplace, school, etc.

Here is an example:

If person A and B are from the same household and person A participates in Study X then person B will automatically be ineligible for Study X. Person B will only be eligible for studies that person A has not completed and vice versa.

Both my daughter and I were doing studies at the same time and it just got silly, as we were getting the same studies, so only she or I could do it. In the end she decided not to bother as I always got there first lol.
