I keep seeing Qmee knocking about on these threads. Must investigate.

Hi @Jute

Give Qmee a go. It can be a bit boring with lots of surveys on shopping habits but it certainly adds up fast. So far this month I have made £38.31 and I would expect to make around £50.00 by the end of the month if not more.

If you are into surveys give Curious Cat a go as well. Similar type of thing to Qmee and pay out is quick and easy too.

A selfie? I've never been asked in the couple of years I've been with them for a selfie. They just wanted my Paypal account for payments. There was a pop-up earlier today to say that they're trying to fix a problem with cashouts but that's it.

yes a selfie and passport ID maybe its something new i think its legit as it comes up on my account saying i can't have an account i can confirm i am who i say i am lol i wonder if i should make an enquiry why i'd love to find out why.

i've just sent them a message via the submit a request option as i'm intrigued to find how i failed i did notice i had afew failed selfie pics because it was asking me to move my head left then right. then said to check my internet when it was fine.

I didn't have to do a selfie or show photo ID. I would've been screwed if I did, as I don't have any photo ID at all, which is why I can't get verified on Testable Minds. In another few years, maybe I can show them my bus pass, provided that they still exist by then.

I've been registered for many, many years. All they needed at the time was a verified paypal account and a phone number. The ID must be a new thing.

must be !! i've signed up to afew and this is the first time i've encountered it.

i've had to do selfie pics and passport before think that was for a monzo account i opened to get a banking switch so i'm aware of how to do them.

the site prolific use to verify was glitchy to put it mildly so perhaps that was the problem it does mention they can take upto 72hrs to get back in touch when you send a message.

Fingers crossed that you get it sorted out, its a good little earner. There's a browser extension called Prolific Assistant, which is worth adding, as it gives you a ping when studies are available. They fill very quickly, so you have to get your running shoes on to get a place :)

just an update for others who may encounter this problem

after having problems verifying my account i sent them a message on saturday when i was refused an account during id verification this is the reply i got

Hi X

Thanks for reaching out. I've manually reviewed your account and can confirm you've successfully passed verification and will be able to take part in studies!

Trustworthiness is at the core of Prolific and as a result, we want to make sure that participants in studies are who they say they are. One of the main reasons researchers use Prolific over other study platforms is the high quality of data.

In carrying out this ID check, we’re able to keep ensuring the quality of the data provided to researchers is high. While I can get into too much detail about our various checks, it seems that your account was flagged in error so I've removed the hold and you should be good to go.

Welcome to Prolific!

so top marks for prolific CS when problems do arise less than 2 days response time in the current climate is very good especially when its the weekend.

I have become a lot more active on prolific over the last month, have the plugin and am very picky about surveys, don't take any studies over 10 mins, just setting myself the target of averaging around a £1 a day and has gone very well so far, balance of approaching £50.

Prolific is very busy at the moment. I think it is because the students are back at University but can't get volunteers to come in for in person research. I expect it will get a bit quieter when they go home for the summer and then revert to normal. Grab those studies while you can.

A lot of the timings aren't accurate. For example, I did a 40 minute one the other day which took less than 15 minutes. It happens often, so it might be worth trying a few of the longer ones and seeing how you go.

I love Prolific but can't afford to be picky with them - so many studies I see are full or with 1 place remaining (which means full) and that's with using the extension!

I had a survey today which took just under an hour and pays 15 £ :) I really enjoy prolific!

That’s great that you enjoy it but I prefer Intellizoom. I just did one on Intellizoom which took 2 minutes for £6. That suits me better lol.

You don’t get them every day and some are mobile some are computer. They email you. You won’t always be eligible for the studies. But I definitely always try and do them as soon as they email me because they’re so quick and easy and they’re always $8 or $5, mainly $8. Easy money lol. Good luck. Oh and it takes 3 weeks to get paid, but they always pay and you’ll just get random emails saying Intellizoom has sent you $8. It’s great.
