Have you done the video qualifier bit to unlock the higher paying tasks? Otherwise all you get is a few lower paying surveys from time to time.Nah, not keen on it, so far I only did one survey for 1Pound, all the others screened me out. Not worth my time, I stick to prolific , where this hardly ever happens
Yeah, I do save my confirmation emails so I can always check if I've got a payment due, but I like the way it just comes through when you're not expecting it.You don’t get them every day and some are mobile some are computer. They email you. You won’t always be eligible for the studies. But I definitely always try and do them as soon as they email me because they’re so quick and easy and they’re always $8 or $5, mainly $8. Easy money lol. Good luck. Oh and it takes 3 weeks to get paid, but they always pay and you’ll just get random emails saying Intellizoom has sent you $8. It’s great.
That's really useful and interesting. ThanksProlific has been a lot less well...prolific over the last couple of months. I've noticed surveys filling up much more quickly and I randomly stumbled across a link to their blog on the Prolific Twitter account.
They had a spike of 30,000 new participants in late July after going viral on TikTok, which explains a lot. It does appear to have caused them some problems with researchers though, as the new sign-ups are heavily skewed towards 20-something females, which means studies are getting massively weighed towards a single demographic.
For us as participants I guess it just means fewer opportunities. Hopefully some of the lull has been due to the summer holidays too.
Anyway, if anyone's interested, the blog is here: We recently went viral on TikTok - here's what we learned
I can imagine the same problem happening is Respondent went viral and a load of new people signed up that were mostly skewed to a female demographic.Yes, tiktok is the source of many ills. I probably get 'study full' 90% of the time, and there's less studies coming through anyway. It's becoming a bit shit.
I’ve recently launched a chrome extension that automatically reserves places in Prolific studies, based on the criteria you input (such as minimum £/hour), and sends you a desktop notification or pings you an email (so you get a notification to your phone).
You can check out the website prolificreserver.com or check the extension store page (click here), and see if it looks like something you’d be interested in using.
Keys are £8.00 each and can be used on mutliple devices (though one key is required per user).
No. All good here (except for the lack of surveys...)Anyone getting a error 500 page when they try to go to any of the pages except for the studies page?
I can’t request payment or anything as I just get an error if I press on the tab on my Username which allows you to cash out and see your email address etc.
I have sent in support tickets but nothing back no response at all.
Ok thanks looks like it is definitely an issue with Prolific then. Hopefully that will get fixed quickly.Mine's OK, but that still doesn't mean that I'm getting any studies - nope, edit that! I can't access my account either
Prolific assistant seems very hit and miss lately too.
