It's not possible to change your details on the site because otherwise some participants might be tempted to change their details every time a new study is posted and you probably already see why this is not so great... however you can obviously drop us a line and we see what we can do

So when there's a study available, it doesn't necessarily mean you will be accepted once you click on it as I've just found out - a bit like surveys... do you have any plans to offer surveys where they study does meet the demographic of the individual rather than them being offered them and then 'screened out' because they don't fit...?

Hi,

When there's a new survey do you send out emails or post on social media? Or is it just a case of checking back regularly?

I really enjoyed the 'problem-solving' study I participated in earlier today & can't wait to do more

Hi Darcey,

when you are eligible for a study, then you will get an email notifying you and it will be visible to you straight away when you go to "Studies". If you have to click "Show all" for the study to become visible, then that means you don't match the eligibility criteria... you will only get invited to studies that you are eligible for. Sorry if you didn't get a chance to participate yet, more studies should follow soon

I realise this is all new Katia, but do you have any idea how often surveys may become available? I'm just wondering how long it might take to be paid

Erm, not all, yet anyway...I think I must be one of the oldest people on this site as I would guess my profile is pretty standard, white british female, not a student, born in uk - BUT I am in my late 40s (big birthday next year)...

Hi Lynnie,

on average there are around 2-3 surveys per week at the moment, but sometimes they are a little bit longer (e.g. 30 mins) and therefore you will earn more cash at once for these. Hope that helps

It is easy enough to set up a Facebook Account with a different e-mail address to your personal one then you can just use it for things like this.

it's not going well for you? Given your demographics (you've just mentioned) you should be eligible for both of the studies that are currently posted, I've double-checked

Oh, I'm sorry... we have to make sure that people don't have multiple Prolific accounts, and the best way to do this is via an academic email or Facebook...
