My daughter and I have had no issues but we never get offered the same studies so no race to do it first lol!

Yes you can BUT, if you both qualify for the same study, then the first person can do it, but if the second person also tries, then it won't let them. From their FAQ:

Multiple accounts per household are allowed but in order to avoid duplicate participants in a study, we have a mechanism in place that allows only one person per household to take part in a particular study. Please keep in mind that a household is anyone sharing an IP address with you. This is at home, your workplace, school, etc.

Here is an example:

If person A and B are from the same household and person A participates in Study X then person B will automatically be ineligible for Study X. Person B will only be eligible for studies that person A has not completed and vice versa.

Both my daughter and I were doing studies at the same time and it just got silly, as we were getting the same studies, so only she or I could do it. In the end she decided not to bother as I always got there first lol.

There is a way around this issue. One of you does the study on wifi one using mobile data. It's what we do.

Also of note quite a lot say laptop/desktop only but you can do 80% of these on a mobile device.

You don't half get some funny studies on Prolific. I had one just now that was all about music, music, more music, extra music and then at the end HOW HAS COVID-19 CHANGED YOUR LIFE RECENTLY

Nearly every survey I've done has a few questions about Covid, I'm tired of it.

I swear some of these surveys or focus groups are so repetitive. It's nice to earn a bit of money but it's so boring sometimes. I was just asked the same question 4 different ways. Then 3 questions to make sure I was paying attention (choose this answer).

I'm doing ok on prolific but missed out on a chance to earn more money with a 3 day study. It was a fun game that i was supposed to play everyday but i could not work out how to end it. So when i closed it, i lost my chance. I emailed the researcher but they have not replied.

It's strange how I get no studies all morning, then 2 come in at the same time. I've got my volume up load and I have to run to the computer to reserve it. It's usually when I'm doing something like housework. Luckily today I managed to reserve both of them.

Still Prolific is my favourite site so far. I cashed out, not received payment yet but i have another £5.50 in review.
One researcher is taking ages, I've been waiting nearly 2 weeks for him to approve the study.

I'd love more £5 + studies.

Google Chrome. I am getting a mixture of small payments and the odd £1.50 to £5. I have a two day survey running right now (4 minutes), which will give me £3 if I complete it.

I've got a £1.55 survey waiting approval and £5 something in total all waiting approval.

I like Prolific.

I'm too lazy to scroll up to see if it's been said before, but for those that don't know there's a Chrome extension called "Prolific Assistant" you can install which will make a sound every time there's a new study appears. It's not "instant" per se so you won't get in on them immediately, but it's great for when you're doing other things but see a good opportunity arise. Saves having a window constantly open

Yeah I wouldn’t bother with prolific without using the PA plug-in!

I use it, thanks to Jon's recommendation. It was faulty and telling me there were surveys but no surveys were appearing on the screen. Prolific said it was a technical problem, fixed now.

I have the volume up high so when I'm doing housework I can hear it. I seem to get the best ones when I'm cooking, cleaning or just about to take a bath (in the evening).

Firefox is my main browser which has recently introduced Prolific Assistant as well. I usually manage anywhere between £20-50 per month with it. When covid first kicked off it went higher. Is your profile up to date? I wonder if that might be making a difference.

Well this is insane and not good news for someone being made redundant! Anyone else had this?

"It's possible that you are on an ISP that was previously allowed to access studies but is no longer able to. This means that we are unable to identify your ISP from your IP address. As a result, we can't be sure that the internet connection you're using is not a VPN or public network, which could be used to disguise a user's location and thus bring into question the accuracy of the data that we provide to researchers. While you may not be using a VPN or similar, we do have to err on the side of caution.

For the time being, I'm afraid that you will not be able to participate in studies via this particular internet connection. We have made note of your ISP to be prioritised when we recommence assessing ISPs."

What ISP are you with?
