I worked for Lionbridge in 2012 for 11 months. I recently applied to Appen Butler Hill and was about to take the pre-screen but realised ifI passed I could not commit to the hours they wanted. So I applied for Lionbridge again but my application was rejected (I guess they don't like people working for them twice?). Now I've applied to Leapforce but I don't hold out much hope because of my previous history with Lionbridge.

I worked for Leapforce after Lionbridge so you should be fine.

I've stayed away from these websites for awhile, no idea why! Anyway, I've now applied for Leapforce, fingers crossed.

Annoyingly, I received an e-mail from Leapforce today, changing the date of my exam.

Now not getting the exam until 2nd MARCH!!!!

Never even thought of that - if it is the American system then yes, it is the 3rd Feb

i applied for Leapforce and just did the exams. I passed the first two but failed the last one. They're allowing me to retake them but not until the 3rd of February. I'd be tempted to try Lionbridge or Appen but that probably wouldn't be any quicker.

Same here I don't have a clue what I did wrong and there is no feedback, so I'm worried about just repeating the same mistakes again. Any pointers from those that have passed please?

NEW GUIDELINES

I managed to be accepted to take the exam for Leapforce.

My exam date was rescheduled to 3 February 2015 so I assume that the final part has to be submitted by a week later.

When I received the original email with the original exam date scheduled I was also sent a link of the guidelines I would be using in the forthcoming exam so basically I could have had access to the guidelines a week before the exam start date.

Now that my exam start date has been rescheduled to next week, I thought I would have a look at the guidelines. When i clicked on the link a message was shown saying 'DO NOT USE THIS VERSION OF THE GENERAL GUIDELINES'. It went on to say that 23 January 2015 is the publication date of new guidelines (well that's gone now). I clicked on the PDF version of the guidelines and it came up with a 'forbidden' message.

All a bit unfair really if originally people have had a week to look at guidelines before the exam week starts....but not in this case as my exam week starts next week and i can't view any guidelines this week (if that makes sense!)...

confused.....

You still have a week to do the exam from the start date so you could revise the guidelines for 3/4 days and then do the exam(s)

I know Jon, but given my failure rate in most of the stuff I've tried for in the past, I wanted to be more prepared to take the pressure off. In all fairness, the pdf new version was meant to be ready on 23rd and it isn't available (for me at this moment in time). I've emailed and asked if I can reschedule under the circumstances and just have the same amount of time to read up as everyone else has had. Will update with any info...

Oh yeah totally get your frustration here

Sadly you can't talk about the exam or guidelines themselves here or else me and this site will end up in trouble as we are monitored by Leapforce due to the NDA you signed

Just be positive and revise as much as you can. My exam was done over 3 days but that because I work in the daytime so only had evenings to revise and do it

I failed the exam the first time (and I am an experienced rater). I was given a second attempt, as are most people. Passed second time. Just study as much as you can.

I didnt have a week to study the guidelines. I got access to them on the exam start date. I then had a week to study the exam. Unless they have changed things, thats how its usually done.

Its like any job interview really, you need to study the company and the job, if you are going to succeed.

The online guidelines were available before the exam start date, and then were whipped away due to them being updated.

my guidelines also disappeared and now look different (one section less info and one section more info) before they disappeared my exam was moved back until tomorrow but I am worried now I will have to go through everything all again before tomorrow? Do the guidelines get sent along with the exam tomorrow morning?
