Is the pay decent for the map project with Lionbridge, does anyone know?
Depends on how many task you can do per hour. If you do what they expect to do 3 min per task, will be 6.6 per hour. however, not every task will take that long. by the time if you familiar with the location and the guideline, will be quicker.

I’ve just logged into Leapforce to check and Truckee has disappeared off my screen at some point over the weekend. Very frustrating!! @gavvy i now you were waiting to be added onto the apps as well - has yours disappeared or is it still showing on your screen?
Hi

I have been in USA for 3 weeks, just come back to find it has dropped off mne as well, shame as it would have been an easy earner :0(

Waiting on my delayed exam from lionbridge, had pre-exam info already. Hopefully i receive it before my deadline of 16th February.

Also I noticed everyone talking about projects on leapforce, my question is can i apply for them even though i'm signed up with appen but not working on anything at present. Thanks in advance guys, all assistance welcome.

Hi @gavvy to the best of my knowledge Yellowstone is an inactive project. I have no idea why it still appears from time to time. It appeared on mine and stayed there for three months then recently disappeared. I emailed Leapforce about it and they confirmed it was inactive. It would be good for you if it were to lead to something but I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Hang in there, something will turn up I’m sure...

Just failed second part of map analyst exam for lionbridge. Thoroughly studied material and used it to justify every answer I gave, I really now know this was a waste of time because no human actually reads them. I don’t think I could have done any better and feel disadvantaged that the questions were all American based, Should I apply for different role at another company? I really like doing the map queries, but I am obviously not good enough at them.

Hi @Jgardener
Sorry to hear you failed the exam. It happens, onward and upwards etc.

If it's Web Search Evaluator work you are after then yeah feel free to apply with either Appen / Lionbridge or Leapforce

In all honestly you don't HAVE to have one. I know people who work for Leapforce doing WSE work without one ;)

Thanks, I’ll look into it. I really enjoyed the idea of the maps project, does leapforce have this available, and would the exam be the same as lionbridge

Also do you think internet assessor exam is easier than map analyst exam, I found some of the questions a bit ambiguous, without the exact answers in the study material

Not sure I'm afraid my days of working for these companies are well behind me but be warned. All WSE projects also have a 3 part exam with a LOT of revision required (or at least having the guidelines open next to you while you take the exams!)

For the map project, the exam is the same. But I'm not sure about the pay. So far I think communication part lionbridge done pretty well. When I ask question they normally back to me within 24 h.

I don't know if you still will enjoy when you see the pay rate...... So, may be not that bad........ I'm doing a lot this week only because they have some bonus this week, otherwise I might just keep it minimal.

As I have this project, I have to make some time to do so they don't through me out. But truly I have to comes back to the guideline often to refresh it. they have Q&A could ask any question if you are not sure how to rate. Guideline have revision every two month around.

However, on my first feedback, some of the rate I was right and they actually have the wrong answer....

I'm not sure how leapforce will goes as they are taken by appen.....
And I'm so busy with all the work at the moment I have to choose.

@Jgardener I also failed the Map Analyst Exam. I was sick with flu and didn't quite 'get' it anyway but it seemed very arbitrary.

I've put in applications with the other companies now, see what happens.

I believe the in UK, they have high demand for the Map project. Because they have more pay to ask to rate more, so if you do apply for the map project, they most will ask to do the exam.

Part 2 Exam you must be attention to the detail, there are quite amount of is misspelled name and one single wrong number. Use official website, but if it is not possible, use google map. Google map have most of the answer right.
