How do I know when new projects come up please. I cannot seem to find a projects tab on Appen Global? I recently joined via a link to do the phone call one, I know there are jobs on the website you cna apply for but cannot seem to see how to apply for those if I already have a Appen Global account. Am I missing something here?

Hopefully that is understandable, I am not 100% certain what I am trying to ask!
The projects tab I referred to is on the old leapforce website (now rebranded as appen but different to the appen global website). I'm not sure if you weren't with leapforce before the acquisition by appen if you'll have access to that or not...

Dear Nile Participant,
Your appointment as a Nile rater is set to end today. Your appointment on the Nile project will not be renewed for an additional term.
The decision was not due to quality issues with your work. The project generally only lasts for one year for each rater. After that you may be removed from the project. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your service on the Nile project. PLEASE NOTE: Your Appen Contract, which may or may not have been recently renewed and extended, is what allowed you to work on the Nile Project. Even though you have been removed from the Nile project, you may apply to other projects as they become available under your Appen Contract. We encourage you to visit your projects page to view other opportunities.

We would like to remind you that you are obligated under the Agreement to maintain the confidentiality of the Nile program and any related information. Please destroy or safely discard all instructional material you might have downloaded or printed from FRT or the Appen website in regards to the project. Your FRT account will be deactivated immediately. You should also discontinue working on the FRT mobile tool.
If you happen to be working on a batch and were removed from FRT, you may still invoice for time spent rating stories up to the time you were removed.
If you have any questions about this notice, please contact us by email at Appen Agent Support.
Kind Regards,
Your support team"

Anything I can do to stop this happening? Really gutted as it was an easy £200 each month. Have had my actual contract with the company extended until April but just not allowed to do Nile stuff.

Is Tigris task roughly the same?

if it only lasts 1 year then there's nothing you can do about it i'm afraid. Luckily if it's only £200 a month you can easily replace that so money wise it shouldn't be an issue ;)

From what I can gather Tigris is similar but on a different social media platform. How long we’ll be waiting for anything to happen though is anyone’s guess. I got my truckee project ended exactly the same way as you and I’m gutted so I’m really hoping something comes of this...

Same! it has been a long time and I still have 4 projects "in progress" but I have heard of people who wait for months before they are accepted so hopefully one day we will hear back!

Yeah i'm afraid it's a 'how long i a piece of string' type thing with Leapforce. Sometimes they will have a clearout of the current staff and then go on a right recruitment drive but at least they have your details so they can invite your in next time they do that!
