Pedlar is a website that allows its members to share bargains and earn commission from those sales.

Every time someone buys via your post you earn 2% of the sale - as long as it is linked to one of their many partnered sites. This is very similar to Find It For Less but I like the fact you can see in pounds what you are making rather than points and you are given a £10 bonus just for signing up which you can withdraw when you hit £25 via PayPal.

I've been using it for less than a week, only posted 2 things and I'm on 26p already; I know it isn't much but I plan to spend a little more time posting things on there. I've already used their support as I had a problem entering my PayPal details and they were very quick to sort it.

There is a refer a friend incentive where you get £10 for every friend you refer once they have made £25 themselves, I would love it if you'd use my link but you don't have to :)

Obviously it is also a great site to use if you want to find a bargain as well as make some extra ££'s.

Check out the TMS blog post about them here: http://blog.themoneyshed.co.uk/save-money-pedlar/

referring people I think is the way to go at this point

Will 'up' the amount of content on the site and I doubt there is much competition for clicks at the moment so you could get some good earners

You can only withdraw a minimum of £25 but worth a go.

Thanks!

I didn't realise that (I hadn't clicked request payout) so I've edited the OP slightly.

Hi All,

Thanks Chammy for posting up about Pedlar here and to Jon for featuring us on the money shed blog. Much appreciated!

As a quick introduction - I’m Tom, the creator of Pedlar :)

Hopefully this won’t bore you all to death but I thought I’d give you a little bit of background as to how Pedlar came to be.

I’ve used deals websites for as long as I can remember but quickly found websites like the Grabbit section of MoneySavingExpert’s forums and HUKD to be much better places to find genuine deals than on retailers websites or somewhere like GroupOn (some of their deals are great - others, not so much!). Having real people recommend deals gave me more confidence that I was actually getting a good deal.

That said, I had a bit of a bugbear about how all these deals websites worked. The community went out and found, shared and rated hundreds of deals. Great! But it was the website, not the people in the community, profiting from it. That struck me as pretty unfair and so, last year, I decided I’d set out to do something about it.

I left my lovely secure job and set about creating Pedlar - an alternative to existing deals websites that shares any profit with its community.

Pedlar has been up and running for a little while now and we have an an amazingly passionate community. If you visit our chat section of you’ll see that our members actively participate in the development of the site - the website and app are what they are today because of all the great feedback and suggestions.

Jon covered it pretty well in his blog post but I thought I’d give you a quick run down on how Pedlar works:

Share a deal from one of the retailers we’re partnered with. There’s an ever growing list and we’re always trying to onboard more!

Earn a commission every time someone buys the deal you’ve shared. You can see an estimate of the commission you’ll earn per sale in your dashboard (it varies between retailers).
At the moment, our partners pay Pedlar - we take a slice of the commission - and then we pass the rest on to you. Much like Quidco, our end goal is to be able to pass on 100% of the commission directly to our bargain hunters. That’s not quite viable yet but it’s something we’re actively working towards.

We currently have a promotion where we’re giving each new member £10 free to kickstart their bargain hunting career. As spike241 mentions, there are a couple of strings attached - you can’t withdraw this straight away - you have to get up to the £25 withdrawal threshold first (i.e. earn £15). But hopefully you’ll still find this an appealing offer!

I’ve rambled on a fair bit but if anyone has any questions, suggestions or feedback I'm all ears.

Thanks,

Tom

PS. I'm no graphic designer but I was embarrassingly proud of sticking together this little gif so thought I'd plonk it here:

Congratulations Tom on setting up Pedlar - have just quickly registered an account (it really was quick to do so!) and thanks Chammy for highlighting the site. Will share any bargain truffles that I sniff out!

I'm already up to £1.66 pending and I've posted 7 items so far (2 of those have sales). I'm loving this :D

Hi all,

Great to see some new faces from here pop up on Pedlar. Thanks to everyone who has checked us out and congrats to those that have clocked up some earnings already!

If you’re someone who had a look but didn’t fancy it I’d love to hear why. Hopefully it’s something we can work on!

Thanks again,

Tom
